布袋らしいギターリフが皆無であったことが非常に残念。
曲が良い悪いの問題ではなく、布袋のファンならば緻密に計算されたイントロなりソロに惹かれる人もたくさんいるはず。本来、布袋はテクでギターを弾くタイプのギタリストではない筈だったのに…。
最近の布袋作品を聴いていてもギターをコピーしたいと思える曲がない。リフ満載だった『Doberman』のような作品はもう出ないであろう。
リズム感のない速弾きもどきのプレイにうんざり。

このアルバムはギタリズムIIに似ている、と絶賛する意見があるけど、時代も技術も、作った年齢も、完成度も、緻密さも、統一感も、ボリュームも、天と地くらいの差がある。苦しまぎれに昔の作品の名前を出すの、恥ずかしいと思わないのだろうか。言わずもがな、これは丸12年まともな作品を世に問うてない証拠でもある。ある意味布袋はギタリズムIIで終わった。あとはロッカーと言うより芸能人と化し、物議を醸す言動を『人生はパーティーだ』『幸せな日々』『日々是上々』と苦笑誘う曲にしてしまう。なんとも痛い曲作りとアルバムの仕上げ方だ。

布袋寅泰が頑固に守り抜いてきたトレードマーク、ダサかっこ悪さ、を極めた、頂点に位置すると言ってよい、入魂の新作がコレだ。。ここには何の曲作りの苦労も音楽哲学もなく、ただどっかで聞いた虚しいリズムの繰り返しと寄せ集めのフレーズがタレ流される。。ギターやボーカルはおろか、ファンクもパンクも、すべてが引いてしまった残りカス、の音が、漂い羅列される。。滅多にない珍しいCDだ。。コレこそが、満を持して遂に出た、本当に布袋寅泰がやりたかった音楽に間違いない。。1年を経てSEOUL SESSIONSをしのぐ、真のバンド傑作。。
