型に嵌められた構成で似たような曲（特に似たようなバラード）を
歌い続けて居たら聴き手が飽きないわけがないと思います。
それは、時代を見ている彼女が一番分かっていたはずです。
アーティストは常に進化を解けていくものだと思います。
今だって、良いバラード書いてるしリスナーを感動させてるよ〜！
こんな良いアルバムに星1つなんて聞き込みもせずに付けちゃう位なら、
昔の好きな時代のアルバムだけ聴いてる方が良いのでは？
自分はスキップしたくなる曲はひとつもないし、
聴いてて彼女の音楽の更なる進化にゾクゾクしてますけど･･･。

何はともあれ、アルバムとしての完成度はピカイチ！
ものすごいインパクトのある曲のがワンサカという
わけではないけれど、アルバムとして聞き続けること
ができる1枚。
なんといってもやっぱりダイエットしたマライアの
ほうがPVも気持ちいいし、動きもいい。それに、自身
の気持ちも軽くなったのだと思える歌声…今回は、
すべてにおいて復活にふさわしい1枚です。

2005年米国で最も売れた『MIMI』以来3年ぶりのニュー・アルバム。
今作はアメリカで自身最高の初動売上を記録するなど早くも大ヒットとなっていますが,内容も期待していた以上に良かったです。
ホイッスルボイスから始まる1曲目『Migrate』はダークで文句なしにかっこよく,18曲目のNO.1ヒットとなった『Touch My Body』は口ずさみやすく聴きやすいヒット性充分の曲。
ミディアム・バラード曲『Bye Bye』はあの『Hero』と並ぶくらい普遍性を持った曲だと思います。大切な人を亡くした方もそうでない方も共感できる内容なのではないでしょうか。
この夏シングルカットすれば大ヒットしそうな『I'm That Chick』はリラックスしたマライアの声がとても気持ちのいい一曲。すごく爽やかで, ドライブしながら聴いてみたい。
日本で野球タイアップの付いている『I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time』も良いし,お洒落なバラード曲『I Stay in Love』なんかマライア節全開で最高だし,『WE BELONG TOGETHER』『ALWAYS BE MY BABY』などを手掛けたジャーメイン・デュプリとの共作『Love Story』も凄く癖になる曲!とにかくリピートが止まらない。しかも最後には『Vanishing』を彷彿とさせるピアノ一本の熱唱系バラード『I Wish You Well』も入っているのだから。

マライア自身,インタビューで今が一番幸せだと発言していました。好きなことをやれているのも昔ではなく今なんだそうです。マライアが自由に作ったアルバムなんだと思うと,余計に何度も聴きたくなります。今から早くも次のアルバムが楽しみで仕方ない!!
