PS2でこれだけのゲームが作れるなら次世代ゲーム機は要らない！とまで思わせる大迫力です。

一作目の面白いけどイライラさせられるファミコン的なやり直し箇所がなくなって
ダイナミックな動きと、答えを見つけたとき気持ちいい謎解きが強化されました。
運悪く死んでも再スタートする場所が絶妙なので、ストレスも感じさせません。

一作目は日本語ローカライズによる安易な暴力規制で、市民を倒して体力回復出来なくなった場面があり
理不尽な難易度、雰囲気ぶち壊し感が強かったですが、今回は考慮したのかそのあたりは問題ないようです。

ただ面白すぎて二日間で一気にクリアしたためか、若干短めな気がしました。
エンディングがまだ続きそうなヒキだったので、次回作にも期待できそうです。

まず、前作と比べて単純にボリュームが増えていることが○。
グラフィックやＣＧも前作以上に迫力がありました。
武器やアクションも増え、アクションゲームとしての面では総じて
前作を上回っていると感じました。
ただ、前作と比べて謎解きが多くなり、複雑さも増して
直感的にわかるものが少なくなってしまい、ゲームのテンポが
悪くなってしまったようにも感じました。
あ、でもマップをつけないのは英断だと思います。雰囲気つぶしちゃいますし。
それから、最後のボス戦でのＣＳアタックはタイミング厳しすぎでは・・・。

まず、ストーリーが繋がっているので前作からのプレイをお勧めします。
スケールの大きさが注目されているゲームですが、ゲームが進行するに連れてスケールとしては、前作と同様に尻つぼみになっています。ただ、面白さの持続感としても良い意味で前作同様なので、１をプレイして楽しいと感じた人には今作もお勧めできます。基本的な操作は、前作の操作性を改善しつつほとんどを受け継いでいるので、「続きモノ」を意識せずに１本通った作品として違和感なくプレイできます。
特典DVDのクオリティも高くて、見応え十分です。
前作と今作の比較を書きましたが、正直１と２の面白さはほぼ同じと考えて良いと思います。１の完成度が十分に高かったので問題はありません。
そういった意味でまず１からプレイし、GoWの面白さが自分に合うか否かを体験してみてください。
