あまり普段はベスト・アルバムを購入することはないが、この作品だけは別である。選曲も申し分ないし、レベールの壁を越えて作られた「真のベスト」といえる内容に仕上がっているからだ。音質もリマスター盤で、こちらも申し分ない。
若かりし頃よく聴いた女性シンガーと言えば、ジャニス・イアン、キャロル・キング、カリー・サイモンといったあたりだが、中でもジャニス・イアンが一番のお気に入りであった。どこかあどけなさがあり、素朴で親近があり、勿論、曲も歌も良かった。このベストの中で、思いで深くお気に入りのナンバーは、やはり「love is blind」と「Will you dance」であろう。「Will you dance」は、1977年の話題になったTVドラマ「岸辺のアルバム」のテーマソングとしても、非常に懐かしい曲なのだ。ドラマは別としても、良い曲は時が幾ら流れようとも、決して色褪せることがないことを、このベスト・アルバムは教えてくれたような気がする。

曲目リストがココにはなぜか
記載されてないので別サイトで見ました
(現在は追加されてますね)
11曲目「ユー・ア・ラヴ」の曲名で反射的にカート入り！(笑
他の曲も聴かせてくれる曲ばかりですが
聴いたことが無いのが多く評価出来ないので星一個減(苦笑

すばらしいっす。
一曲一曲かみ締めながら聴いていきます。
