発売前から期待感が強かったですが、期待を裏切らない素晴らしい出来栄えでした。２００１年リマスター、６ボーナストラック、そしてあの南こうせつ氏のセレクションであると同時に紙ジャケットの技術は、世界の誇る技術だと思います。

そして、なんと中を開けてみると、LPの入っていたポスターまでが、忠実にミニチュア化されて収納されていました！花柄のウエスタン・シャツを着て微笑んでいるジョン・デンバー。この優れた日本の技術を世界にもっとPRして欲しいを切に思いました！

この「ジョン・デンバー。ライブ」はジョンが人気絶頂の頃の本当に素晴らしいアルバムで、ジョンの楽しいおしゃべり、陽気な笑い声、聴衆の歓声、「緑の風のアニー」、「ロッキー・マウンテン・ハイ」、「故郷へ帰りたい」、「スイート・サレンダー」等のヒット曲の他、陽気な「すばらしきカントリー・ボーイ」、美しい調べの「夏」、「トゥデイ」、「マイ・スイート・レディ」、「ライムズ・アンド・リーズンズ」、「詩と祈りと誓い」等、どれもこれも素晴らしい曲ばかりでした。リマスター版ですので、音もまたクリアになり聴きごたえ抜群でした！！！

それに加えて、ボーナス・トラックがレッド・ロックス・ライブだなんて、嬉しいじゃありませんか。曲目は「イントロ〜トレド」「フォロー・ミー」「遥かなるニュー・オーリンズ」「ザッカリーとジェニファー〜フォー・ベイビー」「さすらいのカウボーイ」「アムステルダム」といった美しい名曲ばかりです。ライブの臨場感がここでの一番の魅力・・・。そして、こちらでも曲の合間のMC、ジョンの楽しいおしゃべりも入っていて、その当時の会場に行けなかった私でもその場にいる気分で楽しく聴くことができました。

すでにこのアルバムを持っている方にも、まだ持っていない方にも是非ともお勧めしたい感動のアルバムです。

4.0 out of 5 stars 発売は大歓迎だが歌詞対訳が最悪, 2007/12/17
かつてレコードで愛聴していましたので、今回の発売はとてもうれしく感じました。レコード盤ではなかったボーナストラックも大歓迎です。
ただ、レコード盤の時の歌詞の訳も誤りが多かったのですが、今回の訳は間違いだらけの上、センスも悪く、何でこんな訳にしたのか、誰もチェックしなかったのかと頭をかしげます。
rock of agesが何のことなのかもご存じないし、my honest ladyはminer's lady?と聞き取っていて、炭坑！今までJohn Denverの歌など聴いたことがない方が訳されたのでしょうか？まだ、前の、確か湯川さんでしたよね、訳の方が遙かにましです。
ということで、星一つ減点させて頂きます。
レコード盤を持たずに、これではじめて聞く人のために、至急新しくするか、せめて前の湯川さんのに戻すかするべきでしょう。
