もう最初の一曲目『Anger of The Earth』を視聴してみて、
ピアノのつっかかる感じとか響きとか確かにNujabesっぽい。
これは期待できるかもとレジへ直行しました。
しかしアルバム一枚聞いてみてその期待は星二つにすぼんでしまいました。
Nujabes以上にキラキラ感が増量されていて、乙女感満載です。
アルバム一枚この調子で正直『もうええわ！』ってなりました。
個人的ベストトラックは最もキラキラ感が薄くフルートで奏でられる『レフトアローン』がサンプリングされた4曲目の『Elemental Music』だったりします。
全体的にリズムに仕掛けが少なくビートが弱い気がします。ボトムを支えるべきベースが淡白というか希薄です。
Nujabes以降、美麗系Hiphopはわんさか出てきたましたが
ついにDJ NozawaやこのNomakに至ってHiphopはここまできたかって気がします。
このアルバムNujabesと比べられることが多いと思いますが
自分はNujabesよりもDAISHI DANCEやi-dep等の乙女ハウス（凄いネーミングだな）に近い感じがします。
本音で言えば心地良さは認めますがそっちにすり寄った感じがするのは自分だけでしょうか？。
クロスオーバしていくのは良いのですが．．．。
ただ美麗系の音を求めるのなら安心して聞けると思いますよ。

美しくて、流麗で、きらびやかで。
ピアノを軸にJAZZを取り入れたHIP HOP。



って、誰のことを指してんのか今では分からないくらい溢れている。



この人もその中の一人。



でも、VadimとかCAMの方が(取り入れ方は違うけど)もっと面白いJAZZからのアプローチしてるよね。
比べるのもおかしいけど。



だいたい、ピアノ入れてキラキラしてればJAZZ HIP HOPとして成り立ってしまう現状がおかしい。



この人もポストNujabes争いの筆頭株だが、Nujabesは一人いれば充分。

アルバム一枚通して聴くと非常に一貫した統一感があるが１曲１曲にやはりそれぞれの個性があります。まとまりすぎているという意見もたまに耳にしますがじっくり聴くとほんとに細かいところまで作りこまれていて心地良いです。
ラップ曲とインスト曲が半分ずつ収録されてるんですが、まったく違和感なく流して聴けます。
どの曲もメロディーは有無を言わさず美しく壮大です。ベースラインが少しシンプルかなとも思いましたが曲によっては大きく動いていたりもしてメロディーを引立てるために緻密に計算されているんだと認識できました。
HIP HOPというジャンルと思って聴くと少し違和感があって批判的な意見も出るかも知れませんが、癒しやイージーリスニング、ラウンジミュージック、サウンドトラックやクラシック的な要素を求めて聴くのであれば文句なしに５つ星で満足できる作品だと思います。JAZZの要素とも少し違うと思います。
何より頭で考えるよりも先に体や心で感じる音とでも言いましょうか、少なくとも教授や久石譲に通ずるサウンドに近いものは感じれると思います。
音の嗜好が高い人にこそ聴いてもらいたい一枚です。
しかしこれがファーストアルバムだと考えれば恐ろしいほどの完成度なんではないでしょうか。
確実に日本の音楽シーンを牽引していくことになりそうな予感がします。
今後が非常に楽しみです。
