skypeに使用するため使用していた３０万画素のカメラから買い替えました。

本体も画質も３０万画素クラスのものとは比べ物にならないクオリティーです。
カメラ自体の重量も結構ずっしり。
オートフォーカスもすぐに合うのでイライラしません。
一部のオートフォーカス製品はピントが合うのに時間がかかったり、
せっかく合っているのにちょっとした動きに対して敏感で
わざわざずらして合わせ直したりして結構イライラさせられます。
ちなみに、本製品はオプションでマニュアルフォーカス設定（固定）も可能です。

skypeの高画質ビデオ通話には高いマシンスペックが必要だったり
いろいろと制約はありますが、これらの条件をクリアしている方にはお勧めです。

付属のソフトは初めは色々なエフェクトで遊びますがその後はほとんど触っていません。

メーカーではサポートしてません（私も責任取りません）が、ＵＶＣ対応なので該当するOSX(10.4の後半あたりから）ならMacでもドライバ不要で動作します。大好きなFirewire接続のiSight（販売終了？）はBootCamp下ではカメラは使えてもマイクが使えず、Appleさんもドライバ提供する気配がないので、これを購入しました（iSightはPowerMacへ）。
ＯＳＸ、Windowsどちらでも使えるので便利です。一般的には高価なんでしょうが、iSightと比べれば。画質もこれなら満足できると思います。ちょっと広角気味ですけどね。

スカイプ使用で確かに画質と明るさに感動しましたが、PS3でチャットしたら 更に感動
全画面表示でも十分耐えうる高画質で相手が驚いてました。
マイクの性能も良く 自然な会話ができます。
Webカメラは、4台目ですが この画質に性能なら安いと思います。
