旧約聖書に記されている「十の災い」をテーマにしたホラー。
私は洗礼を受けているのですが、未だ聖書の「通読」をしたことがありませんし、あまり教会にも通っていないませんが、時にミサに行く時には、妄信的・偽善的な信者の方を見て、悲しくなる事が時々あります。
聖書は新約聖書と旧約聖書からなっております。だいだいが両者を掲載したカトリックとプロテスタントの新共同訳が主流となっていますが、個人的には旧約聖書につきましてはさほど関心がありません。
オカルトめいて、少々野蛮と感じるからです。いわゆる奇跡も信じていません。
奇跡とは人の心の中に宿る「温かいもの」であるからです。
私にとって大事なのは、イエスの教えであるので新約聖書を重んじます。
とにかく偽善的な事に嫌悪感を感じるのですね。
この劇中にでてくる、「悪魔は神の振りをして人々を惑わす」とゆう部分には良い点と突いているかもしれません。イエスは偶像崇拝、偶像礼拝などを禁止しています。
それを堂々をしているのがカトリックです。世界中で報告される「奇跡」もほとんどがパフォーマンスである事が科学的に検証されています。
それをバチカンが戦略的に認め、トランス状態の信者を熱狂させ、惑わせるのです。
これが「悪魔は神の振りをして人々を惑わす」元凶と思うのです。悪魔とは、人の心にある邪心・偽善心。
イエスは現在のイスラエル、ナザレに実在し素晴らしい教えを広めた人間です。
そこで時として矛盾が生じるのが、旧約聖書なのですね。
信徒でなければ判らない事ですがキリスト教界は、いろいろと難しいのです。
その点で、この作品は興味深い点がありました。
もちろんただの映画としても楽しめると思います。
個人的にはあまり目新しさはないとは感じましたが、これは人よって感じ方は違うと思います。
画質は、1層　VC−1ですが、新作なので特にストレスを感じる点はありません。
安定はしていると思います。
少しザラついた画となっています。 『300＜スリーハンドレッド＞』がワーナーとしては良い出来であったため、少々見劣りはしますが、標準的なレベルと感じます。
音響面も程よく、サラウンド感もあり良好。
ホラーとしては、好きなジャンルですが、好みが分かれる作品かもしれませんね。

途中まで見てたら「これって女の子版オーメンみたいな話なのかな？」って感じでしたが、最後にどんでん返しがあって予想以上に面白かったと思います。
画質に関しては自分はあまりよく分からないので詳しいことは言えませんが、ブルーレイのソフトの中ではそんなに綺麗な部類ではないのかなぁって感じでした。なので、内容がちょっと気になってるという方はDVDでもいいかもしれません。
あとジャケットの女の子ですが、個人的にはかなり可愛いと思います（ジャケットのイラストは怖いけど・・）。演技も上手いので今後が楽しみな女優さんです。

自分はキリスト教とかそういう信仰の知識は全くない人間ですが
ストーリーや映画の展開など十分楽しむことができました。
見ごたえのあるシーン、ドキッと心臓が痛くなるようなシーンなど
見ていて良い意味で疲れました。ただ、ストーリー的にすごい
展開が沢山あって、完全にこの作品を理解するには2回見ないとダメかも。
