"I Get Money"が昔のアングラ時代の５０を思い起こしたので、今作には期待していたのですが…

基本的に５０のアルバムは、ラジオ向けの曲と硬派な曲を並行して置く、Puffyが９０年代に開発した手法で作られています。
２ndではかなりポップな曲が増えていましたが、硬派な曲達もある程度の質は保っていました。しかし、今作は脇を固める硬派な曲達が明らかにボロボロなんです。
脇が甘いものでアルバムとしてのまとまりが散漫に感じます。

問題のハードな曲ですが、ビート、いつもなら耳に残るフックも、今作ではいまいちです。"I Get Money"以外で質を保っているのはDreプロの"Come and Go"と"Movin' on Up"くらいでしょう。
"Man Down"に至っては、何故か滅茶苦茶に規制が入っていて、リリックの肝心なとこが聞き取れません。何より、ほとんどの曲のリリックのレベルが今までにない以上に幼稚になっております。
"I Get Money"が、アングラ時代の５０の詩のスキルが垣間見れる一品だったので残念です。
ポップなのは中々だと思うんですけどねぇ。"Ayo Technology", "Follow My Lead"など流行を敏感に意識して作られた良曲でしょう。

ゲストも豪華ですし、ビートも流行を上手く取り入れてます。やはり、売れるのでしょう。先述した様に、"I Get Money"はすごい曲ですし。ただ、アルバムとして、マンネリ、そして何より散漫になってしまっています。星2.5です。

まずアルバムの発売前にかなりの曲リークされてたから、どんな感じのアルバムかってのはある程度想像できたけど
曲をリークしすぎて、アルバム聞いててもツマンナイ。

まずまずなのはFollow My Lead、Robin Thickeがいい雰囲気出してる。
その次はStraight To The Bankかな、50っぽさを感じられる曲。

他の曲の方はMan Down (Censored)狙いか知らないけどCleanになってる。
I'll Still KillはAkon使ってんのにバックの音が耳障り。
I Get Moneyは50には合ってないスタイル。
Ayo Technologyはずるい、ジャスティン、ティンバなんて売りたいだけの曲。
My Gun Go Off、Come & Go、Movin' On Up、Fully Loaded Clip、Curtis 187、Touch The Skyは全部似たり寄ったり。
Amusement Parkはエロいだけ。
Peep Showはエミネムのやる気がない。
Fire、All Of Meこれも50っぽくなく女性シンガーとの曲。
Smile (I'm Leaving)ボートラだけど必要ないかな。

全体的にギャングスタ感がない、そもそも対訳が6曲しかないから、SmileとかKanyeのこといってるみたいだけどわかんないし。
日本先行発売とかしなくていいから、歌詞・対訳は完璧にして欲しい。
