特筆すべきは絶妙なゲームバランス。
サクサクっと進める反面、手応え抜群のステージもあり、それでも数回のリトライで
活路が見出せる、慣れてくると二画面全体をみてフィールドを把握しながら、
先読み先読みで攻略できるようになれるので、べビィユーザーを飽きさせず、
ライトユーザーに親しみ易い理想的な形、お見事セガ！
アイテム回収作業やマップ探索の作業も濃過ぎず薄過ぎずで、ダレる事無く楽しめる。

次世代機での３Ｄソニック以降、ソニックのゲームは徐々に
質が上がって行ってる様にも思える、頑張れセガ＆ソニック！
メガドラ時代から応援してるぜ！！

前作ソニックラッシュの正当進化と言って良いでしょう。
今作も「ソニックは爽快感が大事だよね！」と思わせてくれ、またそれを感じさせてくれるゲームです。
今作は前作と違い新しい２Ｄステージをプレイするためにタッチペンを使いミニステージをクリアする必要があります。
「イチイチ面倒だな」と感じる方もいるかもしれませんが、ミニステージ自体は難易度もそれ程高くなく、中々に凝ったつくりで楽しめるものですので安心してください。
その他にも沢山の追加要素（マテリアル集め、船つくり、もちろんタイムアタック等）があり、前作を楽しんだ方はもちろんそうでない方も楽しめること請け合いです。
それと「スマブラにソニック参戦決定」や「マリオ＆ソニック」のオリンピックゲームなどで
ソニックに興味を持たれ、ソニックをやってみようと思われた方にもオススメです。

　前作の高評価があったため、期待と不安がありましたが、フタを開けてみれば思った以上にまともな内容で感心。
前作との主な変更点は上昇トリックの動きのクセ、ブーストボタンがＹボタンのみ、
ボス戦での２画面３Ｄフル使用（ボス戦のみフレームレートは抑えてあるようです）など。
航路を設定しての移動シーンなどは短く、ゲームテンポも考えられているのでＤＳゼルダのような退屈さはなかったです。
タッチペン使用のミニゲームも前回よりも凝っていて、潜水艦以外は好感触。ミッションも１００種あり、一部は結構手ごたえあります。
ステージ構成の印象は“前回よりも入り組んでいるが、平均のスピード感は向上している”といった感じ。前作派と好みが分かれるかもしれません。
全体的に褒めちぎってみましたが、技術、アイデア、ボリューム全てにおいてまともに取り組んでいることを高く評価しました。
アクションゲームが苦手という人には無理に勧めませんが、ＤＳのアクションとして今回も最高峰に挙げられるタイトルだと思います。
（でもまぁ、ソニックなんで購入検討される方はまず自分に合うかどうかをよく考えてから手を出したほうがよろしいかと…）
