使い方、、、刃のガタをなくす為に適当な厚さの紙をカットして刃と刃の押さえの間に挟むと少しガタが→小。マットカッター下の面が少し反っているので強く押してマットの上を往復すると擦れた跡がつきます→平らな面に耐水のサンドペーパー（＃600位）に水を付けてカッターの下の面を削ると平らになります、さらにコンパウンドで仕上げると綺麗になります（カッターの下に紙を敷いてもOK）。マットカッターを押さえる定規は、手で押さえると必ずと言って良い位ずれてしまいます、家具か何か動かない物を定規の代わりにするか押さえに利用すると良いでしょう。不器用な人は、、、

商品パッケージ裏面に「下に段ボールを敷くと良い」というような説明がありますが、この段ボールが大事で、段差のないまっすぐなものを用い、切る方向と段ボールの筋を同じ方向にした方がガタガタになりにくい。そして、一気に切らずに、親指で刃の出方を少しずつ調整しながら、擦る様に何度も往復させながら切るとうまくいく。段差なく平面、これが大切。少し練習して慣れれば、非常にコストパフォーマンスの良いマットカッターになる。
