【アーティストについて】

1956年東京生まれ、横浜育ち。1972年にSG「銀河系はやっぱりまわってる」AL「静かでいいな ~谷山浩子15の世界~」をキングレコードからリリースする等、早くからその才能を発揮する。現在までにオリジナルアルバム40作品をリリース。その独自の高い音楽性は根強いファンを獲得している。NHK「みんなのうた」「おかあさんといっしょ」やCF、他アーティストへの楽曲提供など、各メディアでの活躍も著しい。またオールナイトニッポンを初めとするラジオ番組のパーソナリティ、童話、エッセイの執筆など、その活動範囲はますます拡大している。
2006年公開映画「ゲド戦記」(スタジオジブリ作品)においては、挿入歌「テルーの唄」の作曲を行う。また2007年には、デビュー35周年を迎える。

通算して何回目の再販か忘れたが、他の方のレビューにもあるように売りは
ボーナストラックにある。但し、15.20.を除けば、多少入手困難なものも
あるが、すべて既存のアナログ盤でカバーできてしまう。初回デビューから
猫森への過渡期を狙うなら、ここは創価のソノシート盤（走れメロス等）、
現存するか定かではないがステージ101での音源を加えて欲しかった。
とはいえ、丁寧にリマスタリングされており、コレクションに加えるには
悪くないでしょう。あらためてCDを聞き直した時、最初期のコンサートで
収録曲の「ふうせん」をリクエストに応えて弾き語りをしてくれた記憶が
甦り、嬉しくなった。
最後に、これは余談になるが、どこかのサイトで「【創業】35周年記念？」と
あったのには苦笑しました。

何周年記念のリマスター版のような企画アルバムには、正直なところ食指が動かないのだが、そんな僕の心を捉えたのは、オリジナルに追加されたトラックだ。特にポプコンのライブ音源の存在には、動揺といってもおかしくないほど心が揺れ動いた。

こんな言い方をしては何だが、これら追加トラックこそ、このアルバムの価値だと思う。

同じ時代を生き、かつて大石吾朗のコッキーポップに夢中になった人たちには、ぜひ聴いて欲しい。あの頃の記憶がよみがえり、少し恥ずかしくて、少し嬉しくて、少し切なくて、なんだか暖かいそんな気持ちになる一枚だ。

コレクターアイテムとでも申しましょうか、11歳(何十年まえ？）から谷山さんを聞いている私にも、1から14は初々しくて気恥ずかしくて、結構つらいものがあります。熱烈なファンの方ごめんなさい。で15と20で星三つです。
手元に置いときたい。でも多分あまり聞かないかも。
