ラストにしてベストの出来のアルバムではないかと思います。
アルバムとしては1枚目から大ヒットで内容も素晴らしいのですが、この最後の1枚でドアースとして完璧な出来栄えではないかと思います。
中でもタイトル曲「LAウーマン」とラストを飾る「ライダーズ・オン・ザ・ストーム」はドアーズの暗さとは別な疾風感を感じさせる曲です。

紙ジャケですが、ジャケットの四隅を丸くカットしてあり、さらに正面は窓抜きされて、メンバーを印刷したフィルムが貼られています。プラス、ＤＯＯＲＳロゴはエンボス加工がされて紙ジャケファンにはうれしい限りです。ＬＰ時代に見たときはこんなじゃなかった気がしますが、良しとしましょう。かなり得した気分です。
音もくっきり出ていて聴きやすいですし、全体的に良い仕上がりです。
もちろん、ドアーズの代表作でもありお勧めです。

華麗なる反逆のカリスマ、ジム・モリソン逝く・・・忘れ得ぬ伝説のスーパーグループドアーズ　このバンドの終わりは解散でもなく、ジムのソロ、脱退、メンバーチェンジでもなく、偉大なるカリスマジムの死によって終わりを迎えた。　１９６７〜１９７１と４年間で６枚のアルバムを見てみると１・２枚目はデビュー前からのレパートリーで占められていてる３・４枚目はちょっとPOPな明るい作風になり５・６枚目はブルースをベースに作られているが共通してジム・モリソンの詩世界が展開している　　ジム・モリソンの死後IGGY　POPをボーカルに迎え新DOORSとして活動するという話もあったらしいが実現には至らず、でもIGGY　POPならジムの変わりは務まると思うのは僕だけじゃないはず
