数年前、庄司紗矢香さんがパガニーニコンクールで優勝し、その際、審査委員長は「歴代の優勝者の中で一番だ」と涙を流したといいます。そのとき演奏したのが、このパガニーニのヴァイオリン協奏曲です。

悪魔的と言われる曲ですし、五嶋みどりさんのＣＤを聴いたときも、悪魔的な印象を受ける演奏に思えましたが、この庄司紗矢香さんの演奏は、明るく暖かく、若い生命力が発露するような、朗らかな気持ちになれる演奏です。

私が作成した"リストマニア"リスト「民主党とマスコミから日本を守るために」も参考にしていただけますと幸いです。

パガニーニの協奏曲というテクニックを要する曲であっても、のびやかで、生命感あふれる、庄司さんならではの演奏が楽しめるＣＤでした。庄司さんは、コンサートを聴きにいっても、インタビューなどを拝見しても、常にご自身で曲をじっくり解釈し咀嚼して演奏される方で、その姿勢もすばらしいですが、それを演奏に表現できるところも実力でしょう。
ダブルスピーカーで音量を大きめにして聴くのがおすすめです。

もう10年前なんですね。パガニーニはアッカルドとマイケルレビンのレコードを聴いていましたが、庄司さんのパガニーニは新鮮でした。非常に丁寧で繊細な表現で、アッカルドとは対照的な演奏でした。こういうパガニーニもあるんだなーと感心しました。最近の庄司さんの演奏もNHKで聴きましたが、私には、曲が難し過ぎました。今後の演奏にも注目ですね。しかし16歳でこんな難しい曲をよく演奏できるというか、録音技術に定評のあるグラモフォンの専属契約を取るなんて本当にすごい。ハイツエフ、オイストラフ、アッカルド、マイケルレビン、スターンなどの天才を超える人はもう出てこないと信じていましたが、庄司さんは、すでに越えているような気がします。
