１枚目に比べ、ここからが長いですね。メンバーも増えたし、アルバムごとに音楽性も変わるし、
でも、どの音楽もDragon Ashにしか出せない音だと思う。本当凄いと思う。
きっと変化し続けれたから、ここまで続けられたんだと思う。
ずっとHIP HOPかぶれだったらこんなに長く前線にいなかったと思う。
まさに"with Changes"。

ファン投票はちゃんと反映してると思います。(私だって個人的には「Rivive」入れて欲しかったけど、言ってたらきりが無い。全部名曲だもん)
ちょっとマニアックな曲が入っているのはきっとメンバーに意向なんだろうな思うし。

あと、ここで新曲を入れてくれたのも何だか嬉しかった。
"終わりじゃない"ってメッセージだと思った。
「wipe your eyes feat.Kaori Mochida from ELT」のしっとりとした浮遊感が気持ちいい。

Kjさんはベスト嫌いだったし、ベストを出す意味とか気になったけど
今実際手にしてみて、やっぱこれは記念品というか、
メンバーにとってもファンにとってもご褒美的な品だなって思った。

私はこのベスト、凄く嬉しい。

これはあのDragon Ashのベストアルバムである。DAがベストを出す意義うんぬんについては もう書かない(Vol.1のレビューに書いたから)。

さて、こちらは「Lily of da valley」から現在までのベストである。ミクスチャーバンドとして確かな地位を築き、「Life goes on」や「FANTASISTA」などの大ヒットでお茶の間レベルまで人気を拡大させた反面、Kjの理想とDAで作るべき音楽に溝が出来始めていた。結果、才能を極限までに発揮した名曲「Morrow」そして「HARVEST」という傑作を完成させたその後、DAは不安定な時期を迎える。その間リリースは遠退き、Kjは別の活動に力を入れた。下手したら解散かとも思った。
しかしDAは終わらなかった。「crush the window」でダイナミズムを取り戻し「Rio de Emocion」で新たなDAを予感させ、ついに「Ivory」で革命のおたけびをあげた。そして「陽はまたのぼりくりかえす」の再来とも言える「few lights till night」でまた前向きなメッセージを高らかに歌った。
なんかもう、最強だと思った。

仲間のミクスチャーバンドが解散していくなか、Dragon Ashはメジャーで戦い進化し続けてきた。シーンの最前線にいるとは、今流行っているとか単純なもんじゃなくて、つまり、そういうことなんだろうと思う。

アルバムのラストを飾る新曲には、なんとELT持田香織をゲストに迎えている。唐突なコラボにも思えたが、KjはかつてELTを絶賛していたんだった。曲も彼女の浮遊感のある声を生かした不思議な心地に仕上がっている。ただの企画モノじゃない。DAはコラボレーションでも成功を続けている。
Dragon Ashほど音楽の開拓に成功したバンドはいない。彼らの革命がまだまだ続くことを期待しつつ、とりあえず10年間ありがとうございました。

ドラゴンアッシュがベストアルバムをだすとは思わなかったので正直驚いた。でもなんだかうれしい。Kjはベストとか嫌いそうだけど、ファン的には感謝したい。こんな時期だから金儲けではもちろんないと思う。今、CDは売れないからね。
DAには批判がかなり多いけど、ここはホント好きな人が書いてるようでよかった。
内容的には既存のアルバムに収録されなかった曲がはいってて非常にいいと思う。ファン投票反映されてないのもあるけど、Vol.1よりファン投票よりになってると思う。
もう何枚自分でベストを編集したかわからないけど、「Patience」とか絶対いれてたのでホント知らない人にこそ聴いてほしい。他にも隠れた名曲がいっぱいあるDAだからちょっとでも聴いてたことがある人は2枚とも買ってほしい。
KjがELTをリスペクトしてたのは知らなかったけど、ホントにどんな人の客演でもうまい。持田香織の声は透きとおっててKjと合っている。見事だ。
もちろんシークレットトラックははいってない。それはホントはオリジナルアルバムを聴いてほしいというKjのメッセージでもあるような気がする。（Sakuのかも。）

過去の楽曲の音質も上がっていて、新曲も入っている。日本随一のオルタナティブでありミクスチャーロックバンドの歴史に触れてほしい。
