5.0 out of 5 stars ジャズギタリストとしてのウェス, 2009/2/26
ウェスと言えば、オクターブ奏法、ＣＴＩ、クリード・テイラー、イージー・リスニング・・・そんなイメージが一般には強いけど（そーゆー時代のは、オールナイトニッポンのジングルにも使われてましたナ）、バリバリの正統派ジャズ・ギタリストとして凄まじい実力を示してくれてるのがこのアルバム（あるいはこの頃のアルバム）。
聴きやすくて、スリリングで、奥が深くて、言うことなし。

また、グリフィンが絶好調なのも特筆モノ。
ビバッパーとしての、マシンガン・フレーズが有名なグリフィンだが、ここではもうちょいブルーズ寄りの、泥臭いプレイになっている。これがまたカッコ良いンだな！

１９６８年、わずか４３歳で永眠したウエス・モンゴメリーがリバーサイド・レーベルに残した傑作。１９６２年の録音で、後年、演奏力の衰退がはなはだしかったウイントン・ケリー（ピアノ）もこの当時は絶好調。決して一流とは言えないジョニー・グリフィン（テナーサックス）もライブとあって渾身の演奏を聴かせる。ポール・チェンバースのベースはもちろんいい。表題曲のフルハウスのノリもいいが、一転して静かな２曲目の「アイヴ・グロウン・アカスタムド・トゥ・ハー・フェイス」や「降っても晴れても」「ボーン・トゥ・ビー・ブルー」など、いい曲が目白押し。後年のＡ＆Ｍレーベルのイージーリスニングジャズ路線もいいが、後年のウエスしか聴いたことのないファンにぜひ勧めたい一枚。（松本敏之）

レコードで持っていた「フル・ハウス」をＣＤで買い直したのは何年前
だろうか。そのときのＣＤと同じ内容なのがこれです。
オリジナルの「フル・ハウス」に別テイクが３曲追加されています。

他にもＣＤ版の「フル・ハウス」が何種類か出されていて、
９曲から１１曲入りになっています。

ＬＰの時は６曲で終わっていて、何度も何度も聴いたので
最初の頃はボーナストラックに違和感がありました。
良い思い出です。

我が人生のベストアルバムを選べと言われればこれでしょうね。
あるいはジョビンの「ＷＡＶＥ」か。

これからも音楽が聴ける限り聞き続ける一枚であることは
間違いないです。
