アメリカのエジプト風デスメタルバンド、ナイルの5th。2007作
毎回、ブルータルな轟音と、深遠かつ難解な歌詞による世界観で、
濃密なデスメタルを聴かせてくれるこのバンド。今作も総じて変わらぬ内容で安心印のブルデスである。
ただ、スローパートを増やすとともに効果的なシンセの使用は、これまで以上に荘厳で
神秘的な世界観を描き出しており、ブラストしまくり激速爆音の中にも聴きやすいギターリフや
ちょっとしたメロディを覗かせる部分などもあり、全体的な音のまとまりが良い気がする。
ラストの10分の大曲も彼らのコンセプチュアルな持ち味が効いていて、ただ暴虐なだけではない。
同時期に出たベスト盤とともに、このバンドのさらなる飛躍と認知度の向上を願うものである。

ナイル通算五枚目。ラインナップは前作同様。長い曲から短めの曲までより幅広く織りなす神秘世界!ブルータルだがよりキャッチーに分かりやすくなった。初心者にも是非!オズフェストにも出るらしいからより活動の幅を広げて行くことだろう・・・デスメタルのアイアンメイデン・・・そしてデスメタルをより広く知らしめていってほしい!!

NILEの通算５枚目にして、記念すべきNuclear blast移籍１枚目のアルバム。
NILEならではの古代エジプト風フレーズは勿論健在。
今まで以上にダイナミックかつ感動的な楽曲が随所に散りばめられており、ただのブルータル・デスとは一味も二味も違うバンドだと、改めて思い知らされました。
ギターもドラムも、今まで以上に非常にテクニカルで、聴いていると鳥肌が立って来ます。
「どうやったら、Vo.とギターを同時にこなせるのか」という疑問が、楽器シロウトの私の頭を過ぎる程、素晴らしい演奏を今回も聴かせてくれています。
ダラスさんのVo.も、今まで以上にパワフルでブルータルなグロウル・ヴォイスに進化しています！
曲は短いものが多いですが、非常に内容の濃いアルバムだと思います♪
NILEもまた、確実に進化している素晴らしいバンドだと思います！
