アーティストについて

アイスランドの音楽都市レイキャビックの注目若手バンド。ギター、ピアノ、ヴォーカルのバンドの中心的存在である若干24歳のSindri Mar Sigfusson、幻想的な歌声を持つバイオリニストの少女Gudbjorg Hlin Gudmundsdottir (バイオリン、ヴォーカル、ハーモニカ)、Orn(ギター、ラップスティール) が中心メンバーで、他にもSigur RosのライヴミュージシャンであるEiki、mumのメンバーであるOrvarなども参加。

Sindri Mar Sigfusson率いるReykjavikのバンド。Li-Fiフォーク。あるいはフリーフォーク。フラフラとSEが入ってみたり、トイピアノややわらかいドラム、トレモロ入りギター、淡いヴォーカル。まったく好きな要素。Sufjan Stevensと比較されている事が多いみたい。確かに。でも彼らはより淡い。メンバーは7人いるらしい。2007年の1stアルバム。

全く不思議な森林のSEから入るGood morning scarecrowはコンパクトにまとめられた穏やかな1曲でシンプルなテーマを繰り返すインスト。概ねこの1曲に彼らの要素が入っている。I sing I swimはシンプルなコード進行とLo-Fiドラムの無理やり16分刻みがとても素晴らしい。ブリッジから一貫したコード、ブレイクの(やはり)森林SE、リコーダー、いいね。この曲がとても好き。このバンドをこの状態でキープするのはとても大変だと思う。だから難しい事かもしれないけれど、きっとこのアルバムをリリースした後に繰り返したであろうライヴの成果を新しいアルバムで是非聴いてみたい。期待。

またアイスランドか、、、とうがった目で見たくなるほど、最近アイスランドは熱い。でも、やっぱりその音楽的センスや、クオリティーが良いから、こうやってもてはやされるんだなと、seabearを聞いて改めて思う。

牧歌的でカントリーチックと一口で言うには、色んなものが絡み合っている、奥の深い音楽だと思う。詞にもゆっくり耳を傾けたいところ。
ほんのりホッこりだけでは終わらない、しみ込む音楽。

ビョークを排出したアイスランド発。
なんだか新鮮な音だ。
エレクトロニカやネオアコを通過した、ゆったりフォーキー、でも都会的な音。
超佳曲（個人的にもうハイライト）なエレクトロニカ風インストのgood morning scarecrowに始まり、
とにかくフォーキーでゆったりした曲が続く。
エレクトロニカ通過と言ったけど、そういう系には珍しいヴァイオリンだとかブルースハープを、草原で焚き火囲みながら演奏してる感が新鮮だ。
なかなかよいです。
