オーストラリアのメロバワバンド、ロードのアルバム。2007作
先に解散したDUNGEONのVo、ロード・ティムを中心とした新バンドで、
サウンドの方もそれを受け継ぐような正統派のメロディックメタルスタイル。
ただ、あくまでメイデンや初期ハロウィンスタイルを要求された前バンドから解き放たれたように、
スピーティな疾走曲から、キャッチーでやや軽めのハードロック曲などもあり、
あくまで自由にやりたいことをやってゆきたい、というバンドとしてのおおらかさが感じ取れる。
これまでの漢メタルとしての立ち位置から、メロディにこだわったヨーロピアンな質感をまとい、
軽やかに飛び立ったこのバンドを今後とも注目してゆきたい。
なお、日本盤ボーナスにはなんとX JAPANの名曲“Silent Jealousy”を収録。

そんなややこしい表現をせずにHeavy Metalでいいと思うのですが？

それはさておき、DUNGEONのラスト・アルバムのタイトル・トラックThe Final Chapterへのアンサー・ソングと言える2曲目のRebornあまりにも大袈裟なアレンジでボーナス･トラックのXのSilent Jealousyを超えています。

Dungeon時代はスピーディーな曲で一気に畳み掛ける曲が多かったのですが、
今回は中間がミッド・テンポの曲を配置したりして、余裕というか風格を感じさせます。

但し、9曲めではいつものアルバムに1曲はある、デス声とクリーンな声の使い分けの曲であり、それ以降はスピーディーな曲で盛り上げていきます。

Heavy Metalが好きな方なら、どこかで「おっ！」と思えるアルバムだと思いますので、聴いてみてください。
