Produced by Steve Osbourne (producer of Eye To The Telescope) it sees Tunstalls considerable songwriting skills and unique vocals underpinned by a rawer musical backdrop than its predecessor. 1stを出した後、イギリスで少しずつ実力を見せつけ、売上を上げて、Britsを獲得。
その後USでもヒットしたおかげで、十分月日は経ってるのに、なんだか意外に早いリリースな気もするKTの2nd。

今年の七月だったでしょうか？、1st シングルであるHold OnをiTunesでDL。
もう聴いた瞬間にやられちゃいました！
格好良すぎ！、ビデオでの踊るKTが意外で可愛すぎ！
おかげでKanyeと並んで、私の中での【凄くリリースされるのが楽しみアーティスト】の一人となったのでした。
でも全部聴くと、これがもう、予想以上の進化ぶりで大興奮。

一番の違いはサウンド。音に厚みと広がりが出てきました。
前作の“（ひとりで）ガレージで歌ってました”的な感じが良い具合に無くなってます。
そして最高にキャッチーなメロディ。
私としては、前作のSuddenly I Seeのような中間的なポップな曲は無くなったと思ってます。
じゃあどーなったかというと、ロック色が強くなって、メロディの作りが何て言うんだろう？、濃くなりました。
オススメは1stのHold Onはもちろん、Little Favours, If Only, Funny Man, Hopeless, I Don't Want You Now（最高にキャッチーな曲！）、そして一番のお気に入りのSaving My Face。

【大きな古い石みたいな気分、自分だけの力で立っていて、それでも朝が来るたびに、分るのよ、倒れる寸前だって】
【きっと私が必要とするもののすべては私自身なのよ】

こんな共感できる歌詞満載のKTの新作です。
ジャケットからして格好良すぎて、ついて行きたくなります、KT姉さん。
本当に奥が深い女性だなぁ、と思う。

キラキラベースにミニスカのイケイケポーズじゃなんだか
アイドル・ロックって感じで引いてしまう人もいるかもしれないが
KT姐さんを甘く見てはいけません。

ノリの良いリズムとアコギ主体の、ちょっと昔風の
シンプルでストレートなロックスタイルなんだけど
1人パフォーマンスの印象が強いせいか
「私の音楽を聴いて・・・」と強烈にアピールするような
自分の音楽に対する自信というものが、ひしひしと伝わってくる。
それでいてツボをついた親しみやすいメロディが
聴いていて元気が出るほど心地良い。

「ファニーマン」なんかギターリフからして懐かしのロック調なんだけど
マンドリンの音色で哀愁を漂わせるような
ちょっとした味付けセンスは心憎いほどで
こんなの作っていたら、売れないわけがない。

1つ注文つければ、やっぱりジャケットは
ロカビリースタイルのギターで渋く迫るとか
黒い瞳と黒髪をアピールして大人の魅力で迫るとか
そんなイメージにしてほしいですね・・・。

２００７年９月現在、英国の女子アーチストの活躍がめざましい。
ＫＴタンストールもそのひとり。
前作ほどキャッチーな感じではないかもしれないが、楽曲一つ一つの迫力はアップしている。
まだまだ底を見せない期待のアーチストだ。
