シナリオを順に進めるキャンペーンモードと、ステージを選んで一人〜四人で遊ぶVSモードがあります。

キャンペーンは、オリジナルキャラを作るところから始まり、連邦かジオンを選択します。参加作戦を決めると、その中にミッションが登場しそれらをクリアすることで新しいミッションや新しい作戦が出てきます。１年戦争終了後は、エゥーゴかティターンズを選択して、グリプス戦役となります。
戦闘では、ボタン１つで敵をロックできますし、あとは○ボタンで攻撃するだけなので簡単です。機体を常に動かして敵の攻撃を避けることを覚えれば、操作は難しくないでしょう。
各機体には固有のスペシャルアタックが用意されていて、爽快に敵をなぎ倒していくこともできます。
敵としては大型艦船も登場し、時には護衛対象にもなります。単純にMSを相手にするだけではないので、ミッション毎の課題を優先しながらタイムリミットや敵エースと戦います。

機体毎にクリアポイントを貯めて機体をチューンナップすることができます。そのため各ミッションを繰り返しやることになります。チューンでは、機体のHPや加速力、攻撃力、命中度などを上げることができます。また、ミッションをクリアして行くと、新しい機体やパイロットが手に入ります。最終的には敵のMSも使えるようになります。

戦闘中に敵や味方のエースパイロットのカットインがあり、若干台詞も再生されます。ムービーはほとんどありませんが、その代わりに２００枚を超える壁紙があり、ゲームのモードを切り換えると１つずつ増えてコレクションできるようになっています。

VSモードでは、コンピュータと対戦するもの、ネットワーク機能を利用して他のプレイヤーを交えるもの、またそれらと協力してクリアすることができます。MS対戦、バトルロイヤル、協力ミッションなどとなっており、多数のステージがあります。
こちらは、対コンピュータ戦でチューン用のポイント稼ぎに使われることが多いかもしれません。

各ミッションは５分程度のものが多く手軽にプレイできます。また、プレイの内容によって評価が異なるため、何度もプレイして最高の評価を得てください。最後には隠し要素としてとんでもないミッションが待っています。
手軽さと濃厚さを併せ持ち、操作も優しいためとても遊びやすいゲームだと思います。ガンダムらしさは出ていますが、キャラクタを濃く出しておらず、MSをいじりたい人には打って付けの内容です。

【良い点】

１：自分の好きなＭＳを改造して強くすることが出来る。
ガンダムより強いＧＭをつくることだって可能です。

２：スピード感のあるＭＳ戦を楽しむことが出来ます。

３：ベストでやすい笑

【悪い点】
１：重量感皆無。
最近の流行のスピード感あふれる戦いのみです。
実際の戦いとは違うものであると思います。

２：ＭＳの強さに偏り？
サイコガンダム強すぎ…
あんな大きくてあんだけ素早いって…

対戦で使うと間違いなく嫌われます笑

３：ＳＰアタック
ＳＰアタックは賛否がわかれると思います。
これの性能でＭＳの強さが左右されるといっても過言ではありません。

【まとめ】
戦場でのリアルな戦いをしたい方にはおすすめできない。

最近のＶＳシリーズに近い爽快感があると思います。

まぁ…今はベストになってやすいんでやってみて損はなんじゃないんでしょうか？

ターゲット切り替えのやりずらさと、ドダイに乗っている時のやりずらさを除けば概ね満足。
全体的にちょっと難いかな？
個人的にはこのようなゲームで、WやXの機体を使いたいですね。
PS2の「ガンダム戦記」っぽいので、それが楽しめたのなら楽しめると思います。
