好き嫌いはともかく、
1979年のホルガー・シューカイにしか創り得なかった唯一無二の音楽!!

意外にとぼけたお茶目な表情を見せる脱力ファンクの１、
カンの純音楽部分を高度に精製し発展させた２、
抽象画的な手法とサウンドコラージュが冴え渡る３、
どれもシューカイの異能と音楽的手腕の卓越を証明してくれる曲ばかり。

紙ジャケ発売を機に、もう一度多くの人に聴いてもらいたい豊穣な音楽畑。

私はホルガー・シューカイについてはほとんど知らず、以前ピーター・バラカンの土曜朝のラジオ番組で「ペルシアン・ラヴ」（＃３）が紹介されていて、そのとき聞いて以来ずっと忘れられずにいた。昔に発売されたものは長らく廃盤になっていたようだが、やっと再発されると聞いて、ようやく入手することができた。

甘いトルコ風（？）のメロディーがなんとも心地よい一曲である。正直なところ、素人の私にとって、その他の曲はそれほど印象に残らないのが、この「ペルシアン・ラヴ」だけでも十分に買う価値はありだと思う。ちなみに、輸入盤は３０００円以上するが、この国内版はそれよりもずっと安いのでますますお買い得かもしれない。
