LinuxというとRedHatで、RPM形式のパッケージ管理が基本のように考えられた時期もあります。
up2dateまたはyum（Fedoraの場合)というコマンドで、さらに一歩便利になっています。
圧倒的な指導力のあるRedHatで、安定しています。

オープンソースのFedoraプロジェクトとの連携もうまくいっているのでしょうか。
どんどん複雑になっていくシステムに対して、現在のRed Hatの方針が万全でしょうか。

利用しながらそのあたりを考えています。
