この「Ｔｅｒｒａ」は、大橋純子初の邦楽カヴァー曲アルバムなのだそうだ。近年の邦楽カヴァー曲ブームの中、彼女ほどの実力派歌手が、これまで邦楽カヴァー曲を手掛けてこなかったという事実には、かなり意外の感があったので、念のために、彼女のディスコ・グラフィーにも目を通して見てみたのだが、やはり、彼女のこれまでの３枚のカヴァー曲アルバムは、全て洋楽に集中している。私のような往年の歌謡曲ファンにとっては、大橋純子は、「シンプル・ラブ」、「たそがれマイ・ラブ」、「シルエット・ロマンス」といった邦楽ヒット曲で一世を風靡した歌手というイメージが強いのだが、本来は、極めて洋楽志向の強い歌手なのだろう。　

さて、そんな大橋純子のこの邦楽カヴァー曲アルバムの仕上がり具合なのだが、私の率直な評価としては、中盤までは「３」、全体的には「４」といったところだろうか。

大橋純子は、冒頭の「時代」では、彼女の持ち味である、美しく伸びのある高音を駆使して、聴き応え十分な歌唱を披露しているのだが、２曲目の「季節の中で」から５曲目の「大空と大地の中で」までの４曲は、はっきりいって、彼女の音域には合わない選曲ミスだと思う。４曲とも、彼女の歌唱は、キーが低過ぎ、サビも盛り上がらないまま終ってしまい、否応なしに、松山千春と玉置浩二のキーの高さや音域の広さを思い知らされてしまうのだ。カヴァー曲である以上、原曲とは違った味を出すことも必要であろうし、アルバムとしても、声を張り上げるだけでなく、メリハリを付けた構成にすることも必要であろうことを認めたうえでも、物足りなさを感じたのは事実だ。　

彼女の歌唱力に対する私の期待が高過ぎるがゆえに、少々、辛口の言葉が多くなってしまったが、６曲目の「恋の予感」以降の曲については、９曲目を除き、キーもほぼ彼女に合っており、サビの聴き応えも十分な、彼女らしい好唱を披露してくれている。

夕張市へのチャリティというだけでなく、非常にクオリティが高い作品に仕上がっています。
歌のうまい人が年齢を重ねて力が抜けて、とても安心して聞ける大人の音楽です。
癒されたい人にお勧めです。

歳と共に声が穏やかで円熟された調子となっていると
感じさせるアルバム。
若い頃の声よりも断然良くなっている。
選曲も良い方ではないか（賛否両論あるが。）
個人的には５倍払っても文句はない
そういうアルバムです。
絶対次のカバーも出して欲しい(ﾁｬﾘﾃｨｰ抜きで）
