2003年9月から翌年3月までNHK総合テレビにて放送された朝の「連続テレビ小説 てるてる家族」を43分×5回にまとめた総集編。
昭和20~40年代の大阪を舞台に、製パン店を営む岩田家の夢と希望を描く、底抜けに明るい昭和の家族の物語。
主演の石原さとみほか、上野樹里、錦戸亮など、番組放送後にブレイクした役者・アイドル達が多数出演

   2003年9月~2004年3月、NHKで放映された、石原さとみ主演の連続テレビ小説。共演は、上野樹里、錦戸亮（NEWS/関ジャニ∞）ほか。原案は、なかにし礼による小説『てるてる坊主の照子さん』。本DVDは、全150話にわたる物語の見どころを選りぬいて5回にまとめたもので、同作品を気軽に楽しみたい人にぴったりのダイジェスト版。昭和の大阪を舞台に、ミュージカルタッチで軽やかに描かれたドラマはとっつきやすく、老若男女問わず幅広い世代に支持された。製パン店を営む主人公一家の美人四姉妹・春子（紺野まひる）、夏子（上原多香子）、秋子（上野樹里）、冬子（石原さとみ）が、それぞれに個性的な才能を開花させてゆくさまは楽しく、見ごたえがある。姉妹たちの両親、春男（岸谷五朗）と照子（浅野ゆう子）の微笑ましい夫婦ぶりも必見。（みきーる）

　上野樹里・石原さとみ・錦戸亮ら、今をときめく若手役者が揃い踏みした朝ドラの秀作。
　ただ、この作品の魅力は、深みのある世界観・人間観に裏打ちされた精緻なストーリーにある。
　総集編も面白いが、あたかも２時間の名作映画を１０分にまとめてしまったような物足りなさがあることは否定できないだろう。
　限りなく善良でありながら奇麗事に陥らない「てるてるワールド」を是非完全版で観て見たい。

BSで一週間分放送しているのを偶然見ました。
どっぷりはまりました。
母親と一緒に、泣きながら見てました。

このＤＶＤを、何年待ち続けたことか！！
届いたその日に全部見ました。

やっぱり泣きました。

ひとり暮らしをはじめた今、家族が恋しくなりました。

そんな、心あたたまる本作品に出会えて幸せです。

　大河ドラマ「風林火山」と同じ、大森寿美男脚本、若泉久朗統括による朝ドラ。

　ミュージカル仕立てという異色の朝ドラですが、外国曲を含む大量の楽曲の版権のために、
DVD化は不可能と言われてきました。それだけに、今回のDVD化は本当に嬉しいです。

「風林火山」でも遺憾なく発揮されているように、大森寿美男の脚本は細部に至るまで
実に緻密で、笑いと感動、そして切なさのバランスが絶妙。「朝ドラっぽい」優等生
な演出は皆無で、朝ドラを見たことのない人にもお勧めです。

　石原さとみ、上野樹里、錦戸亮、上原多香子、紺野まひる、浅野ゆう子、岸谷五朗といった、
今となってはとうてい実現不可能とも思える豪華なキャストも注目で、特に、石原さとみの
大阪弁＆眉毛、そして歌は必見です。

　NHKなので、特典映像などはあまり期待できませんが、完全版にも期待しています。
