ノラ猫を飼ううようになってから、すっかりネコ派のワタシ。
街でも、どこでも、ネットでも、最近「ネコもの」にばかり目がいってばかりでしょうがありません。
そのなかでもこのCDジャケのかわいさは格別で、ふらふらと購入。

ピエールバルーさんの名前は知ってはいたけど、音楽自体は初体験。
ボサからチンドンまで曲調は幅広いですが、彼の暖かい人柄を感じさせるその歌声についうっとり。
年齢を重ねた（若輩者が失礼しました！）彼の歌声がとてもリラックスさせてくれます。
ジョアンジルベルト「声とギター」がお好きな方、ぜひ聴いてください！
(なに、もう持ってるよ？こりゃまた失礼しました）

DVDはカンボジアへの旅行記。ピエールさんが自分で撮影した映像なので本人はほとんど写っていません。
CD同様、彼の暖かい人柄が感じられます（でも一度見れば良いような気が）。
DVDなしで価格を押さえ、もっと宣伝してしかった。
2007年7月リリースなのに、2008年1月まで恥ずかしながらこの作品を知りませんでした。
結局、ネコのおかげでまたひとつ愛聴盤がふえました。

日本人が関わった、いわゆる「チンドン」ですか？　あれは、どうも体質的に合いません。
　特に、「ラスト・チャンス・キャバレー」は、もろ時代錯誤。「アングラ」、ですか？　歌詞が日本語で言葉の意味がビンビン入ってくるため、聴いていて気恥ずかしくなってきます。
　もっと、ジャズ風シャンソン（あるいはその逆）のトラックが多ければ、評価が高くなったのですが...
　ジョビンの「コルコバード」や「ケルク・ノート」はとてもよいです。

　なお、付属のDVDは、カンボジアを訪れたときのドキュメンタリーで、音楽liveではありません。

4.0 out of 5 stars おまけのDVDを観てほしい, 2009/1/26
DVDにはポルポトの時代の記録が残されている。のきなみ村々をおそっては虐殺を繰り返していたポルポト政権下でピエールが歌で人々を勇気づけている姿がある。そのあとCDを聴く。やさしく、あたたかく歌う彼の声は、とてもしっかりしている。徳の高いおじいさんの境地に達している。「ダルタニャン」は、緑赤色盲のことだという。深読みかもしれないけれど、危険と安全ということに目を向けてほしいんじゃないのかな。
