新曲は賛否両論あるだろうが
個人的には気に入っている。
ヒロインたるもの、そういうイメージの曲を歌うというのは
想像の範疇であるため、それをうまく裏切っている気がする。

カバー曲はどちらもおすすめ。
春香、いや、中村氏の持つ得体の知れない明るさが
よく表現されている。

ドジで、恋愛に憧れて、お菓子作りが趣味
こういった面を言葉にして書き出すと、天海春香というアイドルはとても凡庸な存在に映るかもしれません。
このアルバムに収録されているトーク部分にしても、何かに突出したものがある、とは感じられないでしょう。

でも何故でしょう、収録された歌を聴くと彼女がオンリーワンであることを自然に感じ取れます。
「I Want」で高飛車に情熱を、
「大スキ!」で可愛らしく恋心を、
「悲しみよこんにちは」で前向きに再出発を、
「神さまのbirthday」「太陽のジェラシー」で恋人と過ごす幸せな季節を
「GO MY WAY!!」で彼女らしいポジティブな自分を
「i」で夢を追って頑張る日々を歌う声に惹かれます。

彼女は「普通の女の子の可能性」を体現する存在ではないでしょうか。
私は垣間見える彼女のそういう（偶像であるからこそ引き立つ）輝きがとても好きです。
白いだの黒いだのというのも、ネタとして盛り上がってこそいますが、それも彼女の可能性の中の一つでしかないんだなあ、とこのアルバムを聴いて思いました。

やよいのような、パンチのあるわかりやすさでは必ずしもありませんが、それは春香のそういったキャラクター性によるものだと受け止めました。
MASTER ARTISTシリーズが出揃ったとき、改めてこのアルバムの価値はぐっと高まるのではないでしょーか。（語り長くてスミマセン）

ちなみに私は「太陽のジェラシー」はオケやコーラスが歌謡曲っぽくて好きですよ。
そういう意味では正統アイドル曲だと思います（今風ではないですけどね）

　１トラック目『I Want』は新曲。ロック調。
　３トラック目の『大スキ！』はカバー曲ＣＤアルバム『Your Song』所収のものですが、件のアルバムは
現在入手困難なので、おそらく正規の手段で聴く機会は今回のＣＤ以外では少ないでしょう。
　４トラック目はカバー曲『悲しみよこんにちは』（TVアニメ版『めぞん一刻』ＯＰ曲として有名）。
　６、７、８トラック目はそれぞれ『GO MY WAY!!(M@STER VERSION)』『神さまのbirthday』『太陽の
ジェラシー(M@STER VERSION) 』。既存曲ですが、前２曲は春香ソロで歌っているバージョンは今回が
初めてのはず。『太陽のジェラシー(M@STER VERSION)』は『MASTERWORK 01』にありますが。
　１０トラック目の『i』は新曲（全員共通曲。一応念のために書いておくと、春香ソロバージョンです）。


　いわゆる「黒春香」は、トーク部分にはほぼ存在しません。新曲『I Want』の曲調・歌詞が敢えていう
ならソレですが、インモラルさをキャラクターではなく楽曲自体に求めるというエクスキューズ（※というよ
り、普通の受け取り方）が可能なので、「最近の黒春香展開はちょっと……」「黒春香を見ると（主に悪い
意味で）せつなくなる」という一部の古参ファンの方（※正直、筆者自身）でも、受け容れ易いのではない
でしょうか。……黒春香好きの方には悪いのですが、正直、ちょっとほっとしています。
