　誰しも老いたることを自覚するのはつらいものである。
　増してや名声を築いた身なればこそだ。
　だが、それを跳ね返すことができた時、人生の達成感にあふれる。

　この映画化権はシリーズとは関係ない人が持っているのでいつでも映画化できるのです。Ｓ・コネリーのＪ・ボンドをどうしてもスクリーンで見たくて見ました。アクションはなかなかのものですが人形やスタントに頼っているところも少なくありません。まだ無名時代のキム・ベイシンガーや「Ｍｒ．ビーン」のローワン・アトキンソンも出てます。海中のシーンはきっとほとんどスタントなんだろうなぁなんて今は思います。ショーン・コネリーの００７がどうしても見たいという人は揃えておいた方が良いでしょう。
　この映画でコネリー・ボンドはワルサーＰ５を構えてますが、他の銃も含めて１発も撃ってません。パーティーのシーンでは日本の南部１４年式が登場してます。日本の拳銃が使われるのはとても珍しい事です。しかし銃器の扱いでの誤りが目立ちました。牢獄の見張りの持つＡＫＭに弾倉が装着されてなかったり、ボンドの持つイングラムのボルトがコッキングされてなかったりと。同じ年に公開された「００７オクトパシー」でもロジャー・ボンドハはワルサーＰ５を使っていて弾がなくなるまで撃ってました。

私はコネリー･ボンド世代であり彼のファンですがこの作品についてはなぜと言う疑問が残ってしまいます　１作限りの約束でボンドに復帰しダイヤモンドは永遠にを終えてボンド役を完全に卒業したはずなのに何故このタイミングで復帰したのか分かりません　おまけに彼の顔はシワ、むくみが目立ちかつての凄みも感じられません　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　彼のファンだからこそ何故この仕事を引き受けたのか理解に苦しみます
