キリンザゴールドを飲みながら、発売をずっと待っていました！
birdのヴォーカル、さすがです。
こんなふうに力強くしかもそれを気負いなく歌える人って
なかなかいないんじゃないでしょうか。
きっとカラオケでは撃沈するだろうけど、birdになりきって歌ってみたいと思います。

bird は SOULS から知っている者です。頭が鳥の巣だった時からですね……。
でも2007年春に CM で流れ始めた時、
当初この曲を bird がうたっていると気がつかなかったのです。

bird というと、MONDO GROSSO で出した「LIFE」も人気があって、
そのイメージから「BATUCADA」を当ててきているのだと思います。
そう考えてこの曲を聴くと、「おっ、bird だ！」って感じなんです。

bird をこの曲で知った方は
ぜひ bird の他の曲を聴いてみて下さい。（特に初期）
それで「BATUCADA」を聞き直すと、
きっとまた違った印象を得られると思います。

たしかにいわゆる"うまさ"はないけどね。もたってるし。でも、
不器用だけどうまくなりたーいってかんじの一生懸命さが歌ににじみ出てて、
好感持てるやん。

ひたむきさこそが魅力で、
それがあってこそ、CM音楽として訴求力をもってるってとこだね。

この曲、Mondayあたりが歌っても、ふつーってかんじだし、
CMとしては弱かっただろうね。

お茶の間にストレートなブラジル音楽が届くこともなかなかないんで、
彼女の存在は貴重なんだと思うよ。
