ドリフファンであればあるだけ不満の残るDVDだと思います。
公開コントの多さには他局のネタで金儲けをしてプライドがないのかと言いたいし、始まりのテロップもいかりやさんのナレーションもない、時にはオチの音楽さえも切られている分かっていない稚拙な編集には萎えさせられました。特に‘もしものコーナー’のコントを‘もしも’でないかのように編集し、「だめだこりゃ」までブッツリ切るとは、いかりやさんが生きていても同じことをするのかと聞きたい。素材が５つ星以上であるだけに残念でなりません。
当時を知らない人たちにはドリフがこんなものだとは思って欲しくないし、関係者は酷評されたことを真摯に受け止め次作（もしあれば）に取り組んでいただきたいです。今の揚げ足取りのお笑いとは違う練られた笑いを再現するには、妥協のない編集が必要だと思います。

マニアにはおそらく「ドリフをバカにするなよ！」となってしまうのではないでしょうか。
オープニングもフルで収録されていない（全員集合2005ではフル収録で感激した人も多いはず）、コントタイトルのテロップもない、コントは放送時に比べて部分カットされているものが多い、晩年の全員集合ネタが多い・・・など数えたらキリがありません。ゲスト出演モノが収録が無理ならば、５人の純粋な７７年〜９０年頃までのコントを収録してほしかったです。もし、第2弾を出すのなら、上記で挙げたものを改良してほしいものです。

長所・風呂屋、松茸、階段落ち、剣の修行、忠臣蔵、お化け、具合の悪い居酒屋等は最高

短所・公開コントがかなりの時間占めるのがネック、全員集合DVDにでもいれてよ
なぜ1円、馬鹿兄弟、葬式、葬儀屋、雷様（定番だし・・・）他思い出せないがもっと入れるべき神コントあるのに。
それらに劣るコントが多目。2作目を出すために、出し惜しみか？
