結構いい作品だと思います。
でもメーカーがものすごくやる気ありません。
音声は広東語のみで特典映像はなにもありません。
予告編ぐらい付けてくれよ・・……(-。-) ボソッ
大体なんでMr.Booってタイトルつけてるのだろうか？
店頭で見つけたときに買うかどうかすごく迷った挙句
レンタルで借りました。
どうみてもつまらなそうですからね。
もう少しメーカーさんも頑張って欲しいところです。

う〜ん…せっかくマイケル・ホイの久しぶりの新作でしかもタイトルには「Mr.BOO」まで入ってるのに、むっちゃつまらなそうな映画にしか見えません。なんすかこのタイトル・ロゴは?オマケに写真もテレビ画面を撮した写真を切り貼りして作った様にしか見えない最悪ジャケット。宣材などのスチール写真は一枚も無かったんでしょうか?広川太一郎氏の吹き替えが入ってる訳でもなく、これじゃ欲しくなりませんよ。自分は発売を機に輸入盤を買いました。辛口で申し訳ありませんが、作品が悪くなかっただけにこんな形で発売されたのは本当に残念!いくらマイナーでもメーカーならば少しは努力をお願いします。

ホイは過去の名声にすがって、10年以上もつまらない武侠小説しか書けないスランプ状態の小説家であるが、プレイボーイの彼（ラウ・チンワン）から愛娘（ミリアム・ヨン）を守るため色々画策することを通じて、娘を守る自分の姿を武侠小説の主人公になぞらえていく。

そして、最後は斬新な武侠小説のアイデアを思いついてスランプを脱するというオチであるが、同じ家族愛をテーマにした「いつも心の中に」と比べると家族の描き方はドライで、90年代のホイ作品に共通するねちっこい人情路線とは異質な作品である
