水木しげる、京極夏彦、荒俣宏、宮部みゆきという大御所で構成したプロデュースチーム「怪」が手がけたということで結構期待してたんですが、正直、何を見せたかったんだろう？というのが見終わった時の感想でした。
帝都大戦の魔人加藤が出てきたり、なかなかそそる演出もあるものの、麒麟送子に選ばれたタダシの活躍はほとんど無いし、何を中心にまとめたかったのかが疑問。
決戦に決着を付けたのは結局アレだし、なんだか無理矢理こじつけたようなラストも嫌だったし、見終わった後にいったいなんだったんだろう…？と呆然としてしまいました。
麒麟送子の意味まったく無し。
子供向けとは思いつつ、何をしたかったのかよくわからない映画でした。

ぼくは日本のお化けが好きです。伝統芸ひとすじ、専門職みたいな妖怪たち。

映画はだんだんＳＦＸふんだんで、ハリウッドスタイルなメカが登場するのはちょっと意外でひいたんだけど、日本の妖怪たちは水木しげるの精神をちゃんと受け継いでいる。
どうにも戦えないキャラばかりで笑えるが、全国各地から盆踊りと勘違いして集結する妖怪たちの数で勝負だ。

パワーレベル段違いな帝都悪役にどうやって勝かと言うと、そこが水木しげる的妖怪たちの見せ場なのである。

水木先生はクレジットの最後に登場して、「憎しみだけの人生など無意味だ」のチャップリンの独裁者よりもすごく短いメッセージをぽつりと言う。
「戦争はよくないです。ハラが減るだけです」

この妖怪はね・・・
どうしてかっていうとね・・・　　などと説明する材料がふんだんにあり、
子どもとの会話がいろいろ楽しめます。

やや単純なストーリーへの批判もありますが、子どもも楽しめる作りになっています。
つまり、昔話のよいところをしっかり封入した作りになっています。
しかも、細部にたくさんのこだわりが。

神木くんの可愛さが堪能でき、見所満載で、映像も演技もチープではなく、
さらにはメッセージ性もあって、高水準の娯楽大作といって過言ではないでしょう。

子ども（３〜７才）と何度でも観たくなる映画に仕上がっています。
だって、大人が観ても見飽きないのです。
そんな映画は、意外に少ないと思います。

いろんな魅力が詰まっていると思いますよ！
