なのはの物語は絆の物語と言っても過言ではない。
敵、味方共に様々な絆が形作られている。
家族の絆 師弟の絆 友情の絆など。
キャロやルーテシアの様に召喚獣と主の間やなのはとスバル、フェイトの様なデバイスと確かな絆を作る者もいます。
まぁ敵にもそれがあるのは六課的には厄介かも?
絆はなのはの物語の根幹の一つだといえる。
無印やA.sでもそうだったし、それゆえの繋がりが確かにあった。
そして、その為に敵であっても憎めない。
ナンバーズ達も5番チンクや、6番セイン、11番ウェンディーあたりは身内に対しては気の良いお姉さんという感じだし。
だからこそ無印では、なのはがフェイトを A.sでは二人が守護騎士達を ストライカーズではキャロとエリオがルーテシアを説得しようと頑張っている。
(戦闘中に成功した例しは無いような気もするが。)
そしてそれはきっと新たな絆を産んでいる。
その顕著な例がヴィータのなのはに対する態度だろう。かつては、はやてを救う邪魔をする『強すぎる敵』として『悪魔』とすら呼んだのに、今ではなのはを守る事に誇りと信念すら持っている。
第24話ではライトニングの絆が窮地を救い、その前の話ではスバルとマッハキャリバーが魅せてくれます。
その下地を作った前半をもう一度観返してみると、いままでの印象も大分違ってくるのではないかと思います。
特にスバルとマッハキャリバーの話は、第5話の伏線をしっかり回収した形になるので。

いよいよ第3期も終盤に突入しました。
この第3期、話のテンポが良くない、盛り上がりに欠けるという意見をチラホラ見かけますが、確かにそれは否定しきれないと思います。
しかし、オンエア時はともかく、DVD化されたことでまとめてお話を見ていけるので、テンションを落とすことなく感情移入することが出来ます。
作画や戦闘エフェクトも上昇しているので、迫力も満点。非常に見ごたえがあります。

この巻でいえば、スバルとマッハキャリバーの気持ちが一つになるシーン、ティアナの頭脳プレイ、キャロとルーテシアの真竜同士の対決、フェイトの新フォームお披露目辺りが見所でしょうか。
確かに欠点が目立つ作品ではあるのですが、この作品独自の良いところだってたくさんあります。それを探すようにして鑑賞すれば、また新たな発見があるかもしれません。
何より、どんな作品だって楽しんだ者勝ちなのですから。

この第八巻はなのはStrikerSの集大成とも言える感動巨編だと思います。
なんと言っても全編はやて率いる機動六課とスカリエッティ率いるナンバーズとの最終決戦の模様が描かれてます。フェイト、スバル、ティアナ、キャロ、エリオのそれぞれの対峙と結末が見事に集約されてます。
そして第九巻でのなのはとヴィータ他の結末が楽しみになります。
