このアルバムまでは，純粋にスラッシュしてたなあ…という印象があります。反面，このアルバムから徐々に多様性が出てきたことも事実です。
スラッシュ面でいえば，前半４曲は怒涛のスラッシュ４連発で昇天確実。阿部氏の泣きのギターも益々冴えています。
特に４曲目は今でもライブ定番の名曲で，前半のハイライトだと思います。
一方，ハードロック的ともいえる新機軸が最も出たのが８曲目です。
「ホタルの光」に似たギターフレーズから静かに始まり，徐々に盛り上がっていきます。
最初にこれを聞いた時，恥ずかしながら「なんじゃこれは！ダセェ〜！」と思ったものですが，10数年経ってリマスター版を聞いた今では，彼らの音楽的成長を素直に表現した良い曲だと思えます。
今思うと，あの「ホタルの光」のフレーズは，スラッシュメタルからの別れ・その後の音楽的展開をも示唆していたのかな〜と深読みしてしまいます。
ともかく私的には，後半にこの曲が入っているために，単純なスラッシュとは一線を画す出来になったのではないかと思います。

また歌詞の方も，若い時の心情を素直に綴ったようなものが多く，青春してるな〜という感じです。
