The Album was Recorded in Vancouver in a Studio Owned by Bryan Adams and Recommended by REM for It's Sound Quality...and The Fact that the Building is Haunted (As Evidenced by the Testimony of the Staff)! Sessions were Completed in 2006 and the First Half of 2007 Saw the Group Completing the Mixdown and Mastering.

FMから流れてきた"Midnight choir"を初めて聴いたとき、ロイドコールを思い出した。ロイド・コール＆コモーションズを知る人ももう少ないだろう。

11年前、明け方までずっと話し込んでいた友人が、明け方「ロイドコールを聴こう｣と言った。「明け方にはロイドコールが似合うよな。」すごく悲しいけれど、もうすぐ朝が来るという希望があるよな、と僕は同意した。ロイドコールは泣き疲れた後のようにかすれて、搾り出すように歌う。その特有の不安定なボーカルがThe Thrillsとして再び現れた。歌というより、一生懸命語りかける言葉にたまたま音程がついていたかのように聴こえる。そして彼が喉を絞り込むたびにこちらは胸が詰まる。どうしようもないけれど、これ以上事態を悪くしないために、ここで終わりにしよう、そんな気持ちを歌っているようだ。たとえば"I'm so sorry"では「本当にごめんよ。でも、君はここを離れて君自身のために名を成すはずだよ。」

いろんなことを頑張ってみたけど、どうしてもこの空虚感が消えない。でも、これからも一生懸命やっていくことを決してやめないだろう。どんなにやりきれない気持ちをかかえていても、それでも一生懸命やっていくことを決してやめることは無い、と思っている人には是非聴いてほしい。
こんなに綺麗なアコースティックをここ最近聴いたことが無かった。ほとんどギターとピアノに聴き入ってしまう。
