A,Pianoで始まる優しいバラード。
桑田氏の声は非常に豊かな表情を持っている。この曲では、繊細で優しい桑田氏の一面がうかがえる。
2001年リリースの桑田ソロのバラード・シングル「白い恋人達」はサビで一気に盛り上がるのに対し、この曲ではサビでのテンションはあまり高くない。にもかかわらず、この曲の世界に引きずり込まれる理由は何か？
日常のしんどさで押しつぶされそうなひとりのオトナが、ひと息ついて頭の中をリセットし、”明日晴れるかな”と一言つぶやく。こんなひとときをこの曲は与えてくれる。
”泣きたいときには泣きなよ”という歌詞は、どれだけ救いの言葉であろうか。
曲のラストでブラスやストリングスで最高に盛り上げておいて、突然ピアノとアコギの静寂な世界になり、さらに子供達の合唱へ。子供達の歌声は、どんな楽器をも超越する、純粋で癒しの音の媒体であることを認識させてくれる。

やっぱり桑田は天才だとつくづく感じてしまう。
タイトル、詞・曲・アレンジのマッチングにおいて最高傑作である。２１世紀のスタンダードナンバーになるであろう。かって故宮川泰氏は桑田を１００年に一人の天才と称したが、この楽曲においてもその天才ぶりは遺憾なく発揮されている。とにかく曲の普遍性が素晴らしい。
どんな時代であっても変わらない真理がこの曲にはある。この混沌の時代を生きるすべての人々に愛を込めて！

らしさを残しつつも、王道のメロディーで、
聴く者を、とても心地よくさせてくれる曲です。
劇中で、この曲のインストが流れますが、
いい曲は、インストで聴いても違う心地よさがあります。
この人は、ほんとに偉大なアーティストだと改めて思い知らされました。
