かつては、ぶっ飛んだ印象がありました。

今回の「THE BACK HORN」はそのパワーを深くのみこんで、穏やかになった気がします。

とってもポップで聴きやすいです。なんかふところが深くなったな〜って感じです。

そして、心を揺らす歌声、歌詞、メロディーは相変わらずです。さすがです！

シングルで出た「美しい名前」や「声」を、
いいな！と思った方には間違いなくオススメできるアルバムです。

何度も何度も聴ける飽きのこない構成です。

「フリージア」「ハロー」「枝」いいですよ！

従来の作品を「鋭いナイフ」とすると、この作品は「良くしなるムチ」であるように感じました。
歌詞は分かり易く、一つ一つの楽曲の世界観を伝える事に徹していると思います。
サウンドは、太陽の中の生活ではいまいち抜け切らなさを感じたのですが、このアルバムには確固たるグルーヴがあり、これからのBACKHORNサウンドを確立したといってもいいと思います。
60分を超える大作なのですが、非常にバラエティに富み、かつ絶妙なバランスで長さを感じさせずに聴くことができます。(シングルをはじめ敗者の刑、ハロー、フリージア、虹の彼方へ、枝など個人的に名曲揃いでもあります)

昔のカオティックな面はありませんが、より日常レベルで共に生きてくれるタフさがこのアルバムにはあります。これから長い付き合いになりそうな1枚です。

今回のアルバムにより、彼らの方向性が確立されたように感じた。自分の中では「イキルサイノウ」が最高傑作であるが、「ヘッドフォンチルドレン」から彼らの方向性は大きく変わっていき、「太陽の中の生活」でさらに形になったと思う。正直、この２つのアルバムを聞いたとき、今までの彼らの音を聞いてきた自分としては衝撃的で非常に複雑な思いであったが、この新しいアルバム「THE BACK HORN」でその方向性は確立されたといえる。
　まず初めに聞いたときは、正直自分が期待していたものとは大きく異なっているという思いであった。ただ、楽曲自体は良いものばかりであり、アルバムとしては非常に良いものであるでいう印象である。またバラエティに富んでいて、アルバム名にひとつのコンセプトを置かなかった理由も分かった気がする。少し気になったのはシングルの曲（特に「声」）は、完全にシングルという一つの作品として出来ている感があり、アレンジ面等をとっても、他の曲とのズレを感じてしまった。アルバムの世界観を壊しているとまではいかないにしても、統一感という面では、アレンジを換えるなどの工夫があってもいいのではという気もする。
　それにしても、ここまで音楽性が変化しても４人が一つの方向を向いているのはある意味驚きである。ここまでの変化があれば、方向性のズレを感じるメンバーがいてもおかしくないと思う。これは、メンバーの音楽性というものに縛られることなく良い作品を作っていきたいという気持ちの表れなのかもしれない。
　私はメンバーが魂をこめて多大なる労力を使って作った作品を横から知ったかぶって「良い、悪い」などと評価することはナンセンスだと思う。ただ、好きか嫌いかという点で言わせてもらうと、「アルバムとしては好き」という答えになるが、これをバックホーンが作るという点では、複雑な思いである。
