「Proof」には、愛する人の全てを手に入れたいという気持ちと、愛する人を一切穢したくないという気持ちとの葛藤が描かれていて、最終的には、現実的な愛に伴う痛みも醜い感情さえも美しい物として受け入れようとする決意に展開します。つまり欲望の歌なんですが、いやらしさが全くなく、非常にピュアな音色に仕上がっています。欲望という物を、これほどまでに爽やかに表現出来るとは……。

「抗って膿む惑星（ほし）」「いつか全て理解（わかり）合えるまで風はもう待てない」などの歌詞に、素晴らしいセンスを感じます。その一方で、「Proof」、カップリングの「no vain」共に、英語の歌詞は文法的に逸脱しています。文法とか関係なく、フィーリングで英単語を並べているのでしょうか？

「no vain」は異界の曲のような耳を引く旋律ですが、歌詞の内容は割と普遍的で、あらゆる物を他人と比較される現代社会において、何度流されて埋もれても復活し、最後には自分の欲しい物を手に入れる、真の精神的強者になろうとするキャラクターを歌っているようです。そのポリシーが「no vain」、「無駄な物は何一つない」という事でしょうか。

第一印象としては、クオリティ高し。
ハヤテのごとくよりはProofの方が良し。
高瀬氏はこちらの方に力を入れすぎたような気がしてならないのですが…。
no vainもダーク色が強くて、カッコいい曲。

曲のアレンジの印象としては、最近ので言うと、天壌を翔る者たちに似てるかな…。
no vainはEditバージョンに近い印象。Proofは…なんとなく似てるかな〜くらいの印象。

かなりよくできてると思うので、★5つ!

追記
PVに関して。
なんつーか、微妙でした…。
Red fractionはあれはあれでよかったのですが、
今回はあまり見たいと思わせるものではなさそうです。
楽曲はいいんだけど…I'veらしくて。

バラードとはいえ、そこはI'veサウンド。
インストのほうを聴けば、ハネるリズムに驚く。トランスだよ。
この曲に歌声をのせられるＭＥＬＬは、さすがはプロだ。
ためしに自分で歌詞カード見ながら歌ってみなって。グダグダになるから。

メジャーデビュー曲「Ｒｅｄ　Ｆｒａｃｔｉｏｎ」しか知らないので、話すときの声に近い「Ｐｒｏｏｆ」は新鮮。
穏やかで、柔らかい。かわいいとさえ思える。
「ｎｏ　ｖａｉｎ」は、声をひずませる加工が多用だけれども、揺れ揺らぐ調べに酔う。
疾駆する通奏音とＭＥＬＬ作詞の歌詞を読めば、Ｒｅｄ〜の日本語版じゃないかとニヤけてしまう。

こちら初回限定版につくＤＶＤは、「ｎｏ　ｖａｉｎ」のみのＰＶ。６分。
ブルーブラックの世界に蠢く魔女か。
魔界転生か山海塾かと、ツっこみたい。映像製作は「Ｒｅｄ〜」とほぼ同じスタッフ。
パーツフェチっぽいアングルとか、ＣＧの入れ方とか、なんか、もっとどうにかならんのか、
といったセンスで、私は好みではない。杉本彩と松野明美を足して割ったようなＭＥＬＬの
ビジュアルは好きなので、もっときれいに撮ってあげてほしい。
