ジェフベックグループ、レインボー、マイケルシェンカーグループ、ホワイトスネイク、ブラックサバス、ブライアンメイのソロプロジェクトなどを渡り歩いた名ドラマーのファーストソロアルバムです。レコーディングされたのはレインボー在籍時で、まさに彼の絶頂期。アルバム全体はハードロックアルバムではないのですが（２曲目のKillerは完全なハードロックインストのアンセム的曲）、コージーのドラミングだけはロックしてます！
Killerでのゲイリームーアの炸裂するプレイとコージーの連打されるツーバスとの大バトルは必聴です。
ラストのOver The Topの後半ではスタジオアルバムでは異例のドラムソロが聴けます。ここではチャイコフスキーの「1812」に合わせてドラムを叩きまくってます。
近年、魅せるドラマーが現れないだけに、元祖魅せるドラマー彼のプレイをたくさんのロックファンに聴いてもらいたいものです。

クロスオーバー⇒フュージョンの時代でしたか・・・。
様々なミュージシャンのプレイを聴いている耳ではこのアルバムの凄さは逆に解らないのではと思います（もっと凄い人沢山います）。ハードロック小僧達がこれを聴いて衝撃を受けるのです。そしてゴリゴリ・ドカドカからアンサンブルとかメロディとか『音楽』に目覚めていくんだあ。昨今ではこういうミュートの効いた音色ってはやらないんでしょうか。でも『良い音』です。パイステも良い。シンセもいかにも『シンセサイザー』って音でしょう。カッコ良いです。モノクロのジャケットをかかえ友達の家へ持参し『イイだろ~』って何度も自慢したものです。ホントに宝物でした。
今、あえて『これってカッコいい』と言ってみたいです。

１９７９年リリースのコージーパウエルのソロ第１作・・・参加ミュージシャンも凄い、とにかくかっこいいインストアルバム！！聴きものはなんと言っても２曲目「キラー」・・・ジャックブルース（Ｂ）・ゲイリームーア（Ｇ）・ドンエイリー（Ｋｅｙ）によるゲイリーの「ハリケーン」のような超絶テクニック応酬ナンバーです！！とにかくここでのゲイリーのギターは凄まじいです・・・必聴！！６曲目「ローナー」は後にゲイリーがカバーし有名になりますよね・・・デイブクレムソン（Ｇ）・ジャックブルース（Ｂ）・マックスミドルトン（Ｋｅｙ）によるジェフべックに捧げられた曲。ジェフにも参加頼んでたんだよなあ・・・セカンドで見事実現します。コージーの魅力が十分堪能出来る素晴らしいアルバム！！
