　世界観（キャラクターや設定）等は、前シリーズからそのまま引継いでいますので、この作品のファンとしては面白くてたまらないです。前作を知っているからこそ、思わず笑みを浮かべてしまう部分もあります。
　基本的にすること（指紋検出や証拠品の復元）は前作までとは変わりませんが、一方でモンタージュ作成やダイヤル操作といった新しいものも加わっています。私個人としては、謎解きの難易度が少々上がった気がしますが、そこが推理好きの欲求をたっぷりと満たしてくれます。
　また前回までは無かったイラストの挿入がいくつかあり、とてもコミカルな面白さを伝えてくれます。
　他にもシステムで変わったなと感じる部分としては、ミニゲームが追加されていました。簡単なシューティングゲームのようなもので、私個人はそういうのは苦手なのですが、これは大して難易度の高いものではなく、三回くらいやれば慣れてしまいます。
　ストーリーの方は、今回もユニークな事件からシリアスな犯罪までちゃんと用意されており、それでいて最後には、いつもどおりのメンバーと一緒に巨悪に立ち向かう如何にもこの作品らしい締めくくりで終わっています。いままでのこの作品らしい良い作風は全然変わらず、面白さだけがアップしています。それと新キャラが出て「古畑博士の出番は？」と思っているファンの皆さん、ご安心ください。
　勿論、このゲームは初めてという「推理好きだけど初心者」という方にも楽しめる内容になっていると思いますが、前作をプレイしていなくても楽しめるようにはなっていると思いますが、ご予算とお時間があるのでしたら、ここは「１」から（もっと言えばPS2から）購入されてプレイされた方が「２」の楽しさは倍以上に膨れ上がるでしょう。
　論理的に落ち着いてプレイすれば必ず解ける内容ですし、謎以外の部分（主人公を始めとする個性的なキャラクター）も面白いです。推理好きならば、是非ともこの作品はプレイしてみるべきだと思います。

前作のTHE　鑑識官がよかったので、今回も期待していました。
率直な感想は面白かったです。

……が、ミニゲームが難しく苦戦しました。
銃撃戦のミニゲームは敵がどこにいるか見えなくなってしまったり、その上、私のDSのタッチペンが若干調子悪いので何十回もやり直しました。
もう少し銃撃戦は簡単であってほしかった……。と思いました。
(個人差があるとは思いますが、難易度は高かったんではないでしょうか？)

でも、前作が楽しかったのであれば、今作も楽しめると思います。
前作をやっていない方も、やった方もいかがでしょうか？
その値段でこの内容なら損じゃないはず！

第4話（ｆｉｌｅ０４）の途中でバグがあるようで、画面が固まって動かなくなりました。
皆さんはどうですか？　個体差なのか、メーカー責任のものかわかりません。わりと面白
いのに、残念です・・・。
