ゾンビ化させるガスを運送中の軍トラックが、誤ってドラム缶を1つ落として走り去った。それを見つけたジェシーら3人の少年がドラム缶を叩いているうちにガスが噴出し、ジェシー以外の少年たちはガスを吸い込んでしまう。そしてガスは雨によって地中へと流れ込み、墓場の死体が蘇った。

現時点で５まで出てるシリーズの中でもダントツの怪作です。
ゾンビ映画としては何気に見れるレベルなのですが、マイケル某の「スリラー」を踊りながら感電死（？）してゆくゾンビをはじめ、前作の「偏差値高げなブラックジョーク」から一転、非常に分かりやすいコメディが織り交ぜられてます。そして、その辺りが好みの分かれ所かと。
万人にオススメできる作品ではないのですが、文句なしの名作である1と3（リターンズ）との関連も一応ある事ですし、星四つにいたしました。
お手ごろ価格ですので、どうせなら1から3までセットでどうぞ。

VHS版からBGMが全部変更されてる。
個人的な思い入れだけどVHSを擦り切れるほど見て
永久保存版としてDVDを購入したのに、この変更は悲しい。

正確には☆4つと半分ってトコです。
この映画そのものは言われてるほど悪くは無いです、というより前作が良すぎたとも言えるかな。昔見た時の記憶しかなかったので、最近改めて観ました。
物語冒頭部分はシチュエーション的に面白いです、前作同様の迷コンビぶり(墓地のシーンで遺体を荒らすようなシーンは子供心にハラハラさせられた)

ギャグ要素を入れすぎたため、かえって前作より笑えなくなってしまっている、マイケルジャクソンゾンビもわざわざ立ち位置を移動してきてガタガタブルブルやってるのが凄く痛い・・(この痛さをどう取るかで映画の面白さが変わってくる)

登場人物は面白い、B級映画の女の子って可愛い子が多いような気がする。
怖さはほぼ無いに等しいかもしれません、というのもグーニーズ的な雰囲気が漂ってるせいかもしれない。
タールマンの魅力が引き出されていないのも残念だけど、ゾンビのバリエーションは多い。
パンク系のオネーちゃんのパンチでゾンビの顔面が潰れるのも◎

バタリアンは コメディホラーと 呼ばれているが ちょっと おバカ過ぎかなと
大概 続編は コケると言いますが この作品も コケてましたね
