まず最初にやらなければいけない事は、セットアップDVDですね。
これは本機をUSBでパソコンに接続して指示に従います。
（パソコンにドライブが付いていないモバイル型なら本機に直接セットアップを入れてok）
それで完了。
後は自分の好きなメディア作成をして焼けば大丈夫です。
いや、それにしてもドライブも進化しましたねw
マルチからスーパーを搭載した書き込みの大幅対応。
XPのディスクトップならスーパーマルチは幾つかありますが、XPノートの方はあってもマルチかコンボドライブ。
vistaなら大体にスーパーマルチは搭載していますが、XPに慣れて、買え換えも阻んでいる。でもDVD作りたいなぁ〜と構想している。
そんな方にオススメです。

・助言
CD/DVD製品メーカー不問で書き込み可能。
速度は遙かに早いですね。

基本、仕事で使っています。
私のPCのﾄﾞﾗｲﾌﾞは+で調子が悪いのもあったので
非常に快適さを感じています。

知識がある方ばかりではないので
意外に、このメディア規格をまちがって購入する人が多いとも聞きます。
ＤＶＤ−ＲＡＭとか。

それを考えたりすれば、仕事で使う場合は、
ＤＶＤのメディア制限がない方がいいと実感する事もあります。

それで、今回、スーパーマルチドライブ を購入。
かなり、安価になっていますよね。
(仕事でのＤＶＤ関係は、頻繁に使うものではないので
これぐらいの価格でないと買えないかな。とも思う所でもあります）

やっぱり多くのメディア使えるのは、便利ですし、速いです。
ＤＶＤ−Ｒの約４．５Ｇぐらいのデータ書込みだと１０分ぐらいで、できましたし、
仕事には、ＤＶＤ−ＲＡＭのパケットライトソフトは便利です。（バックアップとか）

単に、ＤＶＤで映画（映像）見るだけの場合は、動作音がウルサイですが
用途を仕事にすれば、助かるアイテムです。
個人の会社をしている方とかには、良いと思いますよ。

Roxio Toast 5 Titaniumですぐに使えました。この価格でCD-Rが48倍速で書き込めるほか、いろいろと、うれしいことになりました。（ただし、Mac標準のDiscBurningにはTigerからの対応になるようですので念のため）Labelflash TMはWindows用なのでMacのJaguarでは使えませんので必要のない方は選択の余地ありかも。USB2.0に対応していないと、転送速度は遅いですから、ハードウェアもそれなりにしておくことも合わせてオススメします。
