まるで子供たちがワイワイ集まって作った秘密基地みたいなサウンド。
こういうのをローファイというんだろうか。自他共に認めるスヌーピー好きを公言しているけど、「ああ、なるほどなあ」って感じの音である。
まさに「中村サウンド」の金字塔を打ち立てたアルバム。

１曲目のポエトリーリーディングで彼は言う。「金字塔で僕は言う。そうだ、そうだ。」
これはやや自閉的とも取れるフレーズだけど、少なからず「これ、おかしくないか？」と何かに疑問を持つ（持てる）人には、大変心強いものだと思う。「そうだ、そうだ。自分は間違ってないんだ」

J-POPに、そして現代社会そのものに掲げるアンチテーゼ、それがこのアルバムです。

　日本のロックの「まず歌ありき」という演歌体質を脱却し、コード進行の面白さやサウンドの妙がメロディーを先行して聴き手に伝わるように作られた、素晴らしい日本語ロック。パッとイメージに変換されない難解な歌詞も、聴き込めて面白い。

　ビートルズやディランやビーチ・ボーイズやCS&Nの影響が、曲そのものだけでなくラフなプロダクションからも感じ取れるのも好印象。こういう良い意味でチープな音作りを上手くやってくれるメジャー・ミュージシャンが日本にはほとんどいないだけに、この人には期待してしまう。
