アーティストについて

氏原ワタル:ヴォーカル、ギター
赤塚ヤスシ:ベース
森田ケーサク:ドラム

ドーズと発音する。2000年頃福岡で結成され、音源制作やクラブイベント中心のライブ活動を行う。
幾度かのメンバーチェンジや活動休止を経て2005年8月、現在のメンバーでの活動を本格的に始める。
2006年2月に上京、3月にインディー盤「Fish For You #2」を所属事務所が運営するTRIPPIN' ELEPHANT RECORDSより発売。6月には初の全国ツアーを敢行。
デビューシングルとなる「明日は来るのか」が同年9月6日に発売。
11月1日にはセカンドシングル「赤いサンデー」、11月8日ファーストアルバム「NEWOLD」リリース。
2006年末には初のワンマンライブを福岡、大阪、東京で開催。
2007年の年明けからはNEWOLDのリリースに伴う全国ツアー「DOES tour‘07 ~NEW OLD SCHOOL~」を開催。
3月21日2007年第一弾シングル「三月」発売。

歌のイメージが高杉と合うといった意見が多いですね。
確かに自分もそう感じない事もないですが、それよりも
日本語のみのロック。格好いい。歌詞が好みです。

アニメ「銀魂」を見て曲調が好みという理由で購入しましたが、
銀魂の関係あるなしを別にして格好良い曲だと思いました。

邦楽のロックというとただやかましいとか、やたら英単語を使ってるだけ、というようなものしかなくてあまり聞きませんでした。
けどこれは久々に「欲しい」と思った1枚。
ゾクリとくるような日本語歌詞にロック。この組み合わせは最高です。

アニメ「銀魂」のエンディングで使われていますが、だからといって「アニソンか」と切り捨てるのもまた勿体ない話。
登場するキャラのイメージに合っていると思いますし、何より曲調が見事にマッチしている。
アニメからDOESを知った方も他の曲に興味がもてるんじゃないでしょうか。

日本のロックもまだまだいけるかな。
これからの新曲にも期待します。

自分の好きなバンドと一緒に出ていて予備知識なくライブを見た。
単純に、かっこいいなと思った。
というよりか、『キレている』と。

だからと言って怒りをぶちまけているワケじゃない。
こんなもんはありがちでチープな表現なんだろうが、
細身でありながらもよく切れる日本刀のようなイメージを持った。

これは、ジャケットや曲のタイトル、
または流れている番組に影響されたものではない。
なぜなら、この曲を知る前のライブで感じたからだ。

強いて言えば、『白い角』をそのときに見たからだろう。


タイトル曲のイメージばかりで聴いていると、
２曲目ではズバっと斬り捨てられる。



やられた。
