4.0 out of 5 stars レースの中のリュ・シウォンと、ファンと共にいるリュ・シウォンと, 2007/5/2
題名はSiwon's Racing Diary -season II-であるが、中味はレースに加えて、昨年10月のソウルでのバースデーパーティーの2枚のDVDとレース写真集とのセットである。

リュ・シウォンが年間チャンピオンのタイトルを獲得した2006年のレースシーズンの華々しい活躍は、ファンの心を躍らせるものであったが、DVDではドキュメンタリー風にすべてを網羅するのではなく、シウォンが自ら見せたい姿のハイライトとなっている。例えばシウォンの悲願とも言えた念願の初表彰台が、初優勝となった第4戦の優勝場面では、彼の心からの歓びが見る者にじかに伝わって来る感動的な映像シーンとなっている。また、素顔のシウォンからファンへの語りかけで、レース場の外のシウォンの姿を見せているのも興味深い。

バースデーパーテイーのDVDは、シウォンがファンとのミーテイングを楽しんでいる雰囲気がよく伝わって来る。このイベントは希望者が多かったので抽選に外れたり、ソウルまで行くことが出来なかったファンにとっては、シウォンの手品や、ピアノ伴奏での歌など、日本では見ることの出来ない貴重な映像が楽しめる。

写真集は、観客席からは見ることの出来ないレースの緊迫感の中のレーサー・シウォンの表情をとらえていて、写真ならではのひとつの作品となっている。

レーサー・リュ・シウォンの魅力を本格的に写真で日本に紹介した「Director’s Cut」(鯨井康雄撮影、2005年刊、2,200円)と比較すると、内容については写真家の視点が異なるから、比較は無意味としても、日本のファンは、少なくともこのDirector’s Cutと同等の水準の写真印刷技術でシウォンの写真を見る権利があると思う。Siwon's Racing Diary -season IIの価格設定は、日本の基準でなされているのであるから。

レーサーシウォン、なかなか表彰台に上がれなくてでも念願の初優勝、そして年間チャンピョンにまでなって彼の努力、すばらしい。またセルフカメラのシウォン君とってもかわいいです。MY LIFEの歌もいいです。

朝起きてから、夜眠りにつくまで…。しかも、タレントとして笑顔を振り撒かなくてもいい…
そんな時間のリュ・シウォンさんが満載で、ギャップが新鮮だ。「本当に素なんだな。ここまで見せてくれるのね。」と。
見せてあげるというだけでなく、見て欲しいという気持ちも強く感じる。特にスピリッツを。
随所随所の独白…、おしゃべりが好きなシウォンさん、物足りないなどという事はなく、「まだ続くのね＾＾；」というくらい長い。
字幕を時には有りにして、時には無しにして、韓国語の勉強にも楽しく活用できるな〜と思いました。
挿入歌「My　Life」が爽やか溌剌としててよい＾＾
極感…良い男はどんな時もやはり良い〜。
