すでに夫である達郎氏のラジオ番組で聞いていたけれども，あらためてＣＤで全体を通して聞いてみて，そのあまりの心地よさと完成度の高さに，思わずステレオ装置の前に座って聞き入ってしまいました。服部克久氏のストリングスアレンジに乗せて歌う「君住む街角」に始まって，「みんなひとり」「シンクロニシティ」という耳に入りやすい佳曲，そして「人生の扉」という５０歳の年齢を日本のポップミュージックで初めて歌った名曲まで，ここ数年，こんなにも自然に音楽が心に入ってきたことはありませんでした。脱帽です。

　前作「BonAPetit!」がオリジナルアルバムというよりはむしろベストアルバム的なラインナップだっただけに、今回は全体的に落ち着いた感じです。大ヒットシングルもありません。ですが一曲一曲は相変わらず完成度の高さを聞かせてくれます。
　今回のアルバムでは「人生」に焦点を当てた曲が多く感じます。その代表がラストの「人生の扉」。年を重ねることを、風合いを重ねるデニムに喩えたくだりはさすがです。
　繰り返しの鑑賞に堪える、実力派の良作といえます。最近はこういうアルバムを作れるアーティストが少なくなってきました。

　そして初回限定盤の特典である「Vintage Denim」には、過去に発表されてアルバム未収録の６曲がリマスター収録されています。これがまた裏ベスト・ミニアルバムともいうべき内容で、少し前に出たミスチルのB面ベストよりも出来が良いと思います。おまけなのに。

竹内まりやさんの歌声は、よく磨かれたサファイヤのようでした。
どの曲も最高でした。

特に好きなのは、「スロー・ラヴ」の「本物の愛なら　見つけられる。僕はここにいるよ　いつまでもね」、「返信」の「永遠の愛をこめた　私からの返信。魂に届くように」、「みんなひとり」の最後の台詞「Ｔｈａｎｋｓ　ｔｏ　ｙｏｕ，ｍｙ　ｆｒｉｅｎｄ」、「Ｎｅｖｅｒ　Ｃｒｙ　Ｂｕｔｔｅｒｆｌｙ」の「壊れそうな心で　立ち向かう勇気を　神様はきっと見ているから。僕だけはちゃんと知ってるよ」です。

すべて、今の私の心に温かく沁みこみました。

歌詞カードの写真が、純日本風の家屋で撮影されていて、とても味わい深いと思いました。
まりやさんはとてもステキでした。
