SMAPの草なぎ剛が主人公、女優の中谷美紀がヒロインをそれぞれ声で演じる、操り人形を使った異色のドール・ムービー「STRINGS(ストリングス)~ 愛と絆の旅路~」(2007/4/28公開)は、デンマークの作品で昨年のカンヌなど各地の映画祭で話題となった作品。制作をジェイ・ドリームが行い、日本版の監督に「新世紀エヴァンゲリオン・シリーズ」を手掛けた庵野監督、その他声優出演者には、香取慎吾、優香、市村正規、伊武雅刀、劇団ひとり、戸田恵子、小林克也という超豪華メンバーで繰り広げられる話題騒然の映画の日本版主題歌にMisha Williamsが大抜擢!
20歳のシンガーソングライターであるMisha Williamsは米国テキサス州ヒューストン出身。15歳のとき、テキサス州で行われたソングライティング・カンファレンスで、ゲストとして参加していたUKプロデューサーJohn Ravenhall(KylieMinogue, Sting等をプロデュース)と出会い、Mishaの才能を開花させるきっかけとなった。5,000枚限定SINGLEでも発売となる「Unexpected」が、2007年GW日本公開映画「STRINGS(ストリングス)~愛と絆の旅路~」日本版主題歌に大決定!

アヴリル・ラヴィーン目当てでＣＤショップにいったら、隣に並んでいた。
よくわからないアーティストだったので調べてみたら
けっこう人気あるアーティストだった(笑)

映画の主題歌とされている「Unexpected」がリード楽曲らしいが
個人的にアヴリル・ラヴィーンと通ずるところがある「She's Got It」が好き。

最近邦楽アーティストで聴き応えのある人達が少ないので
洋楽アーティストの新人開拓はお薦めです★

映画のCMで聞いてて気になったので調べてみたらビックリしました。
映画の曲以外あんまり期待してなかったんだけど、
聞いてみたら予想以上に良くて思わずはまってしまいました。
とりあえず聞いてみてください。

歌詞も凄くいいし、音もいいし、声もキレイだし、基本的には好きなんだけど、歌い方がなんだか一本調子。盛り上がりたいのに盛り上がれないし、しっとりしたいところもしっとりできない。声に表情がない。普段聴いてる人たちと比べてしまうとちょっと評価下がっちゃうかな。でも結構好きだから今後に期待します。
