「ロックマン」、「鬼武者」の生みの親であり、XBOX360において「デッドライジング」や「ロストプラネット」をプロデュースした稲船敬二氏の隠れた名作です。古代ローマを舞台にシーザー暗殺の真相を探る為にアグリッパとオクタビアヌスという二人のキャラクターを操り、戦闘と潜入の二つのパートを駆使しゲームを進めます。潜入パートに関しては隠れながら進む事が基本でやれる事が少ないのでちょっとマンネリしてしまうので改良の余地ありと感じました(アイデアはいいのですが)このゲームのメインは戦闘です。まさに映画「グラディエーター」の世界そのものです。剣、槍、斧、等の武器にはそれぞれ耐久性がある為様々な武器を使わなければならず戦闘のマンネリを防いでいます(難度も上がりますが)発売当初、CERO18歳以上対象ソフトになっていたように、出血や残虐表現等も満載です(オプションでON/OFF可)映画的なストーリーも個人的に好みでした。

　今作の劇中で、主人公・アグリッパは、残酷な殺戮を喜ぶコロッセウムの観客たちに憤り、叫びます。
「きさまら、そんなに殺し合いが楽しいか！」
　その叫びに対して、PS2のパッドを汗だくになって握り締めながら「Yes！」と力いっぱい答えてしまうアナタ。このゲームはそんなアナタのためにあります。

　アグリッパは剣奴として、他の剣奴たちを倒さなければいけません。しかし、ただ殺すだけではダメで、観客を喜ばせなければいけないのです。
　ただ武器を振り回すだけだとちっとも面白くありませんし、スコアが伸びません。武器の特性を知り、上手に防御し、回避し、攻撃し、大技が決まったら観客にアピール。エキサイトした観客が武器や食料を投げ込んでくれますので、それを使ってさらに殺戮を繰り返すのです。
　これを楽しいと思える人には最高のゲームです。そうでない人は、別のゲームをあたったほうがいいでしょう。

コロシアムで闘い相手を殺して武器を奪いその武器でまた殺す
けっこう過激で残酷なゲームです(;'д`)
ローマの雰囲気をリアルに再現してるグラフィックや音楽やストーリーが魅力的
