双眼鏡を普段から持ち歩くのは、それをおもむろに街中で取り出して使用することと同様なかなか難しいが、軽量、コンパクトなこの単眼鏡ならポケットや鞄に常時入れておいても苦にならないし、遠くの道路標識や看板等を見るのに、さっと取り出して片目片手で使用できるのでスマートに使用できる。
このモデルは他に4倍と8倍があるが、この倍率が最もバランスが良く使い勝手が良い。
単眼鏡で8倍となると手ぶれで対象物が良く見えないことが多い。また4倍では美術館での使用に限ればお勧めだが遠くを見るには役不足だ。
ピントの合う最短距離、25cm付近ではルーペ（虫眼鏡）としても使えるこの単眼鏡、ドライブや散歩の際ポケットに入れていくと、かなり楽しめる。

ネックストラップ取り付け用の穴にキーリングを付け、そこに指を入れ本体を固定すると、片手でのピント合わせが楽になります。

個人的にはニコンの2万円もする単眼鏡のハイグレードモデル、モノキュラーHG 5x15D、HG 7x15Dよりも最短合焦距離の優れるこのモデルをお勧めします。黒で目立たないしね。
