内容としては物足りなく感じられる作品かと思われがちですが、中々良い作品だと思います。
声優の方々が元々は文章だった作品を、画像無しで見事に演じきっています。
思わぬところでイリー・トミー・クラウドのソウルブラザーが乱入してくる場面は笑えました
特に《女こまし編》がこのドラマＣＤのクオリティーを引き立てています。圭一の甘い声、部活メンバーの壊れ様を聞きたい人には必須な作品です！！

加筆させていただきます。
先日、語咄し編がコミック化され、小説第２弾が発売されました。
ひぐらしの勢いは止まることなく、増しています。
この作品は発売された頃合から、中期の作品です。
今新しい(後期といえる)作品やグッズが出ていますが、少し過去を振り返ってみるのもいかがでしょうか？

２００６年に一般公募された「ひぐらしのなく頃に小説大賞」応募作のうち、受賞作１０編の中から２編を取り上げて音声ドラマ化したものを収録したのがこのドラマＣＤ『話咄し編』です。
音声ドラマ化にあたり、シナリオを、本編のドラマＣＤ化も手がけられている高宮宏臣氏が書き起こしているというのは非常に嬉しいですね。氏のリライト力は、ドラマＣＤ版『ひぐらしのなく頃に』を聴けば解るとおり、非常に高く評価できます。実際に小説版『話咄し編』と比較しながら聴いて見ましたが、大筋の流れを変える事無く、しかし音声劇として聴き易い流れに整理され、よりメリハリのある台詞に置き換えられている点など、流石にプロの仕事と評価できますね。
もちろん声優陣はここまでのドラマＣＤ（及びアニメ版）と全く同じ陣容、もともと演技力に定評がある声優さんを揃えた上、キャラの雰囲気をよく理解されている方ばかりなので、安心して楽しめる内容となっています。
選ばれたシナリオは大賞受賞作『贄流し編』と、方條ゆとり賞受賞作『女こまし編』。非常にメッセージ性が強く、ドラマとしての体裁がしっかり整っているものと、ギャグ色の極めて強いドタバタ劇という、対照的な２編が選ばれていますね。
『贄流し編』は収録時間約４０分。途中にギャグ要素の追加があるものの、ほぼ忠実に原作を再現した内容です。題材そのものは決して目新しい内容では無いのですが、『ひぐらし』のテーマをうまく取り入れた”ひぐらしらしい”一編となっています。
『女こまし編』は収録時間約３４分。こちらは物語の発端に少し手が加えられた上、収録時間の都合だと思いますが、詩音、知恵先生、鷹野三四の出番が削られているのが個人的には非常に残念でした。ギャグとしては楽しめる内容なのですけどね。
この『話咄し編』、この先コミカライズもされるようです。現時点で内容、作画担当者等不明ですが、こちらも非常に楽しみですね。

　贄流し　比較的真面目な話がメインに来るのですが、その前後をバカ騒ぎで挟んでしまったため、本来言わんとしていたテーマが霞んでしまった感じがします。それにストーリーそのものも正直薄っぺらい感じがしました。このシナリオではひぐらしのメインテーマでの一つである「仲間」を扱っています。要は自分だけで悩まず仲間を頼れ、ということなんでしょうが、こんな短い話でそれを言われても共感できません。本編では分厚いストーリーを通して何度も反芻しながら語ってきたテーマです。そういう前提知識があるからこそ、こんな大事なテーマを簡潔に言って欲しくないし、また本編の二番煎じみたいでくどい感じがします。
女こまし　女性陣が暴走して呂律が回らなくなる辺りは原作どおり楽しめました。アドリブや追加された部分もなかなかの出来でした。しかしなあ…やはり詩音、鷹野、羽入の出演がないのが痛いです。そのせいで原作のドタバタぶりが４割減になっています。特に梨花の言動は羽入との絡みがあってこそが真骨頂でしょう。魅音と詩音も同様です。いま一つ物足りない感じがしました。
　まあ外伝として割り切るならそこそこ楽しめると思います。声優さんも端々で笑わせてくれますしね。
